is it too early to look at this thing and go BLEGH *vomits*

nothing really against it but do we really need another bloody bumblebee toy?
im sick of the two that i have already!!! honestly i think this is one we could easily live without.

... ok so maybe i do have somthing against it.

That is some strange new packaging. Also, I see 6 conversion levels now? We're going to get finer grained levels, and they still won't be accurate.

Also, what is that odd pull ring on the right arm?

I really do like the big hood guns, so long as they collapse into the hood.

Really? A new BB mold? Was this really necessary?
He looks o.k but do we need another Camaro?

I mean we already have 3 Deluxes, 1 Human Alliance, 1 Ultimate in just ROTF alone. Not to mention the legends and bumpers and all other BB paraphernalia this movie has churned out.

I'm not sure a Leader class BB was needed. Is this even leader class, can't really tell from the pictures.

thanks for the post really really thank you first image we got of this guy looked better than the new ones we got now

bumblebeee... ok i think we all od have something against it not because itanosther how bbs we have now but how it looks this looks horrible ill have to see video review of this guy first but either way i think this will be the first leader class figure ill pass on is the ring hin another way of pull my finger i dont get it you pull ring his mask comes down or soemthing or does fire his gun ha bb looked more realistic & better than this one.

if the ring comes off, & guns collapseable hen maybe ill buy him and if his armcannon swithes to gun to his hand that will be an extra added feature but i have greatly disspointments with this thign just buy looking at it i know the saying dont judge book buy its cover but this i may make an exeption until proven oher wise with video review

I'm sure the kiddies will like him. I personally don't give a front-end loader

Hm, good points: Battle mask looks like it's movable, Robot mode is sleek, he has accurate weaponry, and he seems to be painted rather well.

Bad points: Too many Bumblebees already (let's see more Barracade or Blackout!), The eyes still remind me of a frightened animal, the cannon-arm looks like it's all there, meaning no right hand, he's got a giant hoolahoop stuck on his arm that looks like it takes up alot of space, It has lights and undoubtedly sound, meaning more stupid sound bites that weren't from the movie and are most likely really dumb songs.

I'll pass on this.

Not interested in this one. Why cant they stop making Bumblebee with only 1 arm ???
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038754)
Posted by Mykltron on January 20th, 2010 @ 5:38pm CST
I don't think this is Leader class - I think it's Human Alliance size. For a start it just LOOKS smaller than leader. Also, when you compare it to HABB:
- chest is the same
- doors are the same
- wheels with chain and gear detail are the same
- left hand sculpt is the same
- abdomen (with all the pistons that BB DOESN'T HAVE) and groin are the same

But wasn't there a price thing about Battle Ops Bee being $60?

BTW the pull ring is to activate lights and sound. It says so on the box.

My final comment:
BLOODY MONKEY ARMS AGAIN.

I must say, that's kinda cool.
But, we didn't need another dang Bumblebee mold.

edit: Place your bets. How many times will it be repainted?
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038763)
Posted by Swiftknife24 on January 20th, 2010 @ 6:16pm CST
I knew it was a more-or-less kit-bashed retool! (It's also common to us Star Wars Hasbro customers :-B !)

It's a Human Alliance figure without the Human elements; why can't they just say? #-o

Also, (Caps Lock: Ready to UNLEASH THE FURY!!!) FRACKIN' BUMBLEBEE AGAIN! :BANG_HEAD: :BOOM:

Although, you've got to wonder; if it's a new 'Human Alliance But Not' line, then maybe they'll release other characters that would otherwise be difficult to pair up with any humans? (Sideways, Jolt, Jazz, etc) :???:

I think that we have to keep in mind the notion that this is not just a regular line of Transformer figures but an official movie line, so it needs to accentuate certain characters more than others. In a typical line of TFs I think we get more Optimus than any one else, but with the movies we get a load of BBs because the children are supposed to identify with the sppechless, characterless character who uses songs to communicate with its target audience who is probably ten years too young to know what the songs are.
So basically, BB=BS.

Wait, there's a transformation level 0?

... What would that entail? Nothing?

Also, they're really flogging a dead horse at this point with Bumblebee - they're past that point even.

In saying that, I'd still like a Bugbite repaint of the deluxe mold.

Stealth BB
Faceplate BB
Less-stupid face BB
Electro static modulation circutry BB
Pyromantic oscilation BB
Nightstrike BB
Sam n' Pals BB (with accessories and plastic Shai LeBouf who is actually a better actor than the flesh Shia)
Desert Ambush BB
Jungle BB
Jungle Ambush BB
City Fiesta BB
Flood Damaged Used Car Resale BB
Different Front End Weapon BB
Prestidigitation Expert BB
Primium Paint Job BB

And then, in the thrid quater of 2010, Hasbro will really start to crank out the repaints!

Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038816)

I'm more interested in the packaging than anything. Noticed ... the traditional Autobot symbol (not the movie styled one), new packaging colors, and the traditional Transformers logo (which appears on the RPMs packaging) instead of the movie styled logo. It's also missing "Revenge of the Fallen". Could this new version of Bumblebee be part of a new line of Transformers? Toy Fair is just around the corner ...
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038820)

Packaging looks leader class-like. The detail on the fig doesn't, though. Unless the video reviews look really bad I'm sure I'll get it at some point, not that I'm overly excited about it, not in the least...just being realistic. Hopefully it's at a discounted price...

Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038828)
Posted by amtm on January 20th, 2010 @ 7:23pm CST
On the size, I'm wondering if this is an Ultra class, considering the batteries would imply it's bigger than a voyager. I kinda doubt it actually is leader size. But I doubt even more that it's a new size class. It also doesn't look as poseable as the Human Alliance figure--the legs look stiff, for example.

As for the 0 complexity level, maybe that relates to Transformers RPMs. Perhaps that's Hasbro's new way of explaining that not all "Transformers" brand toys actually transform nowadays. Or it could be a replacement for the level 1 designation on Gravity Bots, which require zero work on your part to "transform."
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038837)
Posted by SpaceKaseJase on January 20th, 2010 @ 7:32pm CST
A class all it's own? Seriously? Although the legs are a huge upgrade from previous versions, this is obviously a human alliance class figure. Look at the chest and lower torso. They are practically identical to the human alliance figure. I hope the ring thing is removable--it looks like crap!
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038844)
Posted by lowman_x on January 20th, 2010 @ 7:42pm CST
Oh FFS! Really?! ANOTHER freakin' Bumblebee?! Goddammit, Hasbro! Give it up! Stop flogging a dead horse already, it's gonna be mince meat soon!

And in regards to whether the guns might fold down under the bonnet: it doesn't look like it - there's no way that they could fit underneath and there's no cutaway in the bonnet itself to enable that function. It's "I'm trying to be circumspect but failing" Bumblebee.

And what's with the keyring?? Maybe this is actually a really SMALL BB for your keys?

Yep, this is the old "Leader Class" mold we saw a while back.

It's a nice toy and all, but Concep Camero BB from 07 was and still is all the BB I need. Still, with all the other goodies coming out, not buying this will save me money for stuff I really want.

The scale though ... movie BB is worse than G1. At least G1 was a combination of different toylines. We have two all-new size classes just for the one character.
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038851)
Posted by zenosaurus_x on January 20th, 2010 @ 7:56pm CST
At least it isn't really leader class...but what class is it? The toy looks cool but it most likely will be out of scale so: pass.
Why can't Hasbro just make a leader Blackout instead of a million Bumble bees?

And what's up with that stick connected to a ring on it's arm?

Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038860)

The box almost looks like that of a Supreme version to me with the battery info on it-got the same look as the Devastator packaging. It'll be interesting to see what exactly we're dealing with here.

In any case, I just can't get behind yet another version of movie BB.
Re: ROTF Battle Ops Bumblebee Revealed (1038869)
Posted by Grahf on January 20th, 2010 @ 8:38pm CST
I love haveing many incarnations of BB, but a line has to drawin somewhere. Come on Hasbro, enough is enough. HA BB after a few mods is considered to be my own Leader BB. At this point I fell that Hasbro has some unknown creature locked down in the developement level that literally craps out new BB molds.

Enough is enough at this point

The last BB I plan on getting is from that Soundwave/BB Nest 2pk. And the only reasong for tht is I like Soundwave's new deco and being able to score that new Ravage fig.

Lame gravity bots are 0s on all fronts.

as has been said, the kids love 'im. and that includes kids who know the name from animated and see the name in there local target, walmart, etc. Bumblebee = money in the bank and hasbro knows it. I think they even said it at a con or in the Q&As.

Start the Leader Blackout petition. Start the Bumblebee boycott. See if that helps. If it does, I'll eat my uncomfortable boxorbriefs.

I must first start by stating I loathe Bumblebutt. I own 2 of him(Elite Guard Animated & Alternity) I got the Animated for my son and we decided it came apart too easy for him so it's on the shelf, the Alternity is the only one I wanted. This things looks like a PowerBot on crack to me. And he took Bludgeon's spot at the top of the site????? WHY?? why, why.

BTW...regarding the size speculation, considering s250 said it was leader class and he was right about there being another BB fig to begin with, I'll assume he's also correct about the size class.

Oh, I see, Battle Ops Bumblebee, not Leader Class Bumblebee, that's okay with me. But seriously, don't we have enough Bumblebee figures already? :? No really, I'm perfectly satisfied with my accurately scaled RoTF Deluxe figure...

*sigh* Do we really need another BB figure?? And whats with the cannon instead of a right hand?Couldn't they make it where the cannon and the hand were on a swivel somehow??Or even a exchangeable hand and cannon?? For us fans that hate cannons for hands? :-x

HASBRO! STOP WITH THE BB'S!!!! It's getting old!!!! Soon there will be more Bumblebee's from the movie lines than there are Optimus Primes from all 25 years of TFs!

is this a classic (-ly bad) anime tribute (or pun?) ?
