Transformers: Rescue Bots New Toys Including Medix In Stock

Medix is the only new toy shown there. The other three are previously-released figures, and Heatwave is a different kind of figure altogether from the others.

Someone spotted Medix & the new Boulder in a Toys R Us in Texas. I saw Medix's face. She has Blades's mouth plate.

When did we find out Medix was female? I missed it.

And wouldn't that Medix likely be a new mold rather than a retool, since the first was at the original, larger size, while this would be one of the current, smaller type?

There's been no confirmation. Just some word that season 4 will have a female Rescue Bot and folks suspecting it to be Medix (which I and others hope isn't the case since the female being the medic of her team is very stereotypical and cliche; and since Blades is already that team's medic).

Why does Medix have a new head?


Since we know now that Medix is not the new female Rescue bot what's the point of making a new Medix toy?

The new Boulder is his original body instead of the dump truck, in the smaller "Rescan" class size.

The new Medix is the smaller "Rescan" version. I'm assuming we'll get Hoist as well now.

The Optimus toy is just a repaint of the robot from the Trailer + Cab set that came out a few years ago. Probably just to keep an Optimus on the shelves!

Well, that was more rhetorical than anything, but that's nice to know actually

High Tide's leg's are an ugly, cheap-looking, hollow mess, but his homage to Omega Supreme and under-$30.00 price make him a definite maybe. A transparent-blue visor/face-shield and better articulation on the claw-arms would have been welcome, and too bad he doesn't actually float, either. He would have made a fun tub-toy, or swimming-pool toy for the kids. Since I first saw this, I thought Hide Tide's Omega Supreme mode would have made a great design for a large playset. He could have been as large as the Imaginext Batcave or MegaZord sets and included lights, sounds/speech fx and room for the Deluxes or mini-fig Burns family. Oh Hasbro, not another missed opportunity for awesomeness...

Is the Optimus the same enlarged mold from the trailer set, or is it even larger? If so, it could have at least not had such such simple painted-on fingers/hands; even the early Rescue Hero Prime had pop-out fists. These are for children, yes, but kids have standards too.

Boulder looks like he's a basically unchanged downscaling of his original figure. Not a bad thing, though; his first toy matches his cartoon appearance quite well and hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if at some point we got a High Tide that combines with the ship like he does on the show, but for now I guess I'll take what I can get.

Well Medix and Hoist are just toy filler considering that the actual show crew has no Medic or a tow truck.


I know why Medix exists I'm wondering why someone who has no real show appearance has another remold with a new head it's like if they took Prime Hot Shot a character with no show appearance and just released him with a new head especially since they could just do that to Bumblebee or just make a new guy.




It's just weird thats all I would not be confused if this was a new character but it's Medix with a new paint job and head.

Well, since the toyline originally wasn't supposed to have a show, one could argue that the original toys of Heatwave, Chase, Blades, Boulder, Bumblebee, and Optimus were all in the same boat as those of Hoist and Medix before the show came along and made the Original 6 more relevant than the latter two.

I was wondering on the yellow car too.

My kids love these, my only gripe is Hasbro had this one chance to actually keep things in scale.. Then for no particular reason they made Salvage (one of the larger bots on tv) like a mini bot, then started shrinking all the bots in general. Well that and half the new "transformer" toys don't actually transform.

I'm pretty excited that we're getting a Mor-Bot.

I'd be more excited if it was the original design and vehicle mode rather than one of seemingly half a dozen Blurr retools this year, but sometimes you just have to take what you can get.

And Cheetor as a power tool makes me happier than I have any reason to be about it. Yay BW homages!

I'll see what we can get. My understanding is our crew at the show didn't get the time they would have liked to view the display (overall scheduling, not unique problem to Seibertron.com) so focus was on the Generations and RiD stuff. But yeah, anyways, I'll shoot an email to their PR folks and see what we can get, as a break down of waves/size classes/etc would be nice! Some cool product for Rescue Bots coming down the pipe.

Speaking of cool things coming down the pipe, I really like that four-pack that shows up in the video's background a few times. Rescue Force Sigma-17, the whole original team with their original modes all in one box. Sweet.

We bring you today the Transformers Rescue Bots official images gallery. There are a couple of firsts in these upcoming Rescue Bots toys. Morbot is the first transforming villain Rescue Bots toy while Quickshadow is the first female Rescue Bot. Also if you take a look at Sideswipe he looks like RID Sideswipe in robot mode. Nice to see them expanding the lore a bit, getting a bit more diversity in the cast.

But really, my only take away from this is: 'dawh, tiny sideswipe is so cute'

Someone needs to repaint the Morbot into a Cobra BAT. The head is perfect, just needs some details.

There are some really cool and neat looking things coming out of this. I like them!

I'm pretty sure they stopped doing the original size Rescue Bots after the Energize figures, and the smaller "rescan" size started after that with boat Heatwave (and bike Bumblebee and monster truck Prime).

not gonna lie i really like morbot, might have to pick him up

I think Morbot is a repaint/remold of Blurr.

The two share engineering but their sculpts are quite different, much like how the original larger molds of Optimus, Heatwave, and Hoist were.

We saw the some of these a long time ago, but it seems that the Transformers: Rescue Bots Mr Potato Head figures are back, according to Entertainment Earth, in a smaller size with the second wave, featuring Optimus, Bumblebee and Hightide!

After the news last week about the Optimus Prime racing trailer - as we had seen with Blurr ('his race car friend') at both Toy Fair and the Hasbro webcast - we have an update on the listing over on Entertainment Earth, with a new stock image. Check it out mirrored below!

As the website TF@TM reported, it looks like Hasbro has registered two trademarks that seem to relate to the TF brand:

1. PLAYSKOOL HEROES, (a trademark already being used by the Rescue Bots line)
and
2. HEROES AT PLAY (a completely new trademark)

Both trademarks have been filed under this category:
“Toy vehicles and accessories for use therewith; toy action figures and accessories for use therewith; toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms”

"Heroes at Play" sounds more like a slogan than a toy line. Either that or I'm picturing superheroes as kids on a playground.

When I search for "heroes at play" + hasbro I get a bunch of kiddie looking super heroes.

This was the only TF looking thing I could find - which looks old to me so I think that what we are getting is not exactly this pic.



It's probably something similar to "Play skool heroes". I do hope it is a nerf gun rather than bad looking mini figs that don't do anything.

Continuing with the galleries from opening night of San Diego Comic Con, we give to you our new gallery featuring the Rescue bots. These rescue bots show off the new High Tide and Salvage molds, which are newly upscaled. Also seen are Quickshadow, Morbot, and the vehicle mode for the new Chase. I am actually surprised that a line without Decepticons has gone on this long. Not that I'm complaining, of the few episodes I've seen they actually come up with some pretty creative disasters.

Well, it is over in the Playskool aisle with all the toys that don't need bad guys. Preschool toys in general seem to get along well enough if they prove fun enough for the young'uns.

I got that Fire Station on Prime Day not realizing how big it was. Had assumed it'd come with a cool new animal Targetmaster but it didn't. That said, it's actually super fun, and worth it just for the ground bridge.
