Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Sentinel_Primal, we have word on a video review featuring Transformers WFC Kingdom Cyclonus. For some reason, this was the one figure that early reviewers were unable to obtain and this review comes even after these toys were sent to fan site owners and the like. But at least we have it now. These toys should be showing up at retail any day now with an official release date of January first. Let us know what you think and if you'll be getting him. For those wondering about Cyclonus' friends, we are getting a voyager Scourge in the Studio Series line (also due out soon and already appearing in Australia) and a Galvatron in the Kingdom line later in 2021.

Yep, this guy definitely high on my want list. Clean, no kibble on both modes, great articulation, now i just need sword to complete the look for me.

Sentinal Primal, I liked your review. Thanks for sharing!

I too went for it via Gamestop... Merry Christmas to me. But we'll see what happens. Definitely not canceling my preorder with Amazon yet. But if this works out that will be sweet.
He really looks like an incredible figure!!!

Not my review, it just popped up in my Recommended  I just figured I'd share the link with everyone cause we've had reviews for everyone else in Wave 1 and I know some people were excited to see a review for Cyclonus

A shame Scourge is smaller, still a really good Cyclonus though and I'm tempted for it despite being happy with Cw/UW and classics. SS86 Scourge might make for a better partner with CW/UW and because Siege Ultra Magnus is a shrimp he might look good with Kingdoms Cyclonus for their punch up.

This teeny head looks just fine to you?
*shrug* Okay.

That mold remains one of my absolute favorites. Having both Swerve and Gears, neither will be replaced. Swerve is perfect, and Gears is good, and like CW Huffer he works good enough for me and I don't need another

I really do like how show-accurate Cyclonus is in both modes. Hopefully, Rodimus and Galvatron will be following suit.

Why is it the central gimmick of the current line is the blast effects, but almost none of the toys come with any? You either have to buy the super expensive commander of titan class figure or try to track down the Battle Masters, which are overpriced nonsense that a lot of retailer don't even bother carrying.
Come on Hasbro, if the gimmick is blast effects, drop a few in every box! They can't be that expensive to make.

This may be me grasping strings, but Hasbro may have decided against them for the future because the plastic used for them could damage the toys in the long run. To be precise, depending on environment the soft plastic breaks down too quickly, essentially "melting" into the plastic of the toys. Ick.

Something similar happened with the rubbery shells of the G1 Monster Pretenders and their Dinoforce counterparts, and more recently RotF Bludgeon's treads. Hasbro has no luck with rubbery material.

The central gimmick, as with the previous 2 lines in the same trilogy, is having modular deluxe bots that can interact with the other classes.

He did, briefly. I got him on preorder along with Inferno and, after a month of daily stalking on Amazon, SS86 Scourge popped back up as well.

...but they're also still including blast effects with the Cyberverse Deluxes and now some of the SS86 figures, and giving all of the G1 characters and some of the BW characters compatibility with them in this line, so I feel like it's probably more something budget-related than them backtracking because of the plastic issues.

Exactly. The blast effects are a sideshow.

I think the reason so few WFC figures come with blast effects is that HasTak don't want to sacrifice any of the precious plastic allowance on Micromaster/Core through Leader toys to an effects piece. So that leaves Commanders, Titans, and Battlemasters for packing them with. They may be cheap, but every milligram is counted when it comes to figures so..

It does leave the gimmick unfortunately under-supported. Really what HasTak should do is sell bags of blast effects; the volume would make it economical.

They'd also work best when sold online.

This could be easily done as another Select figure like the Centurion Weaponizer pack. A Weaponiser deluxe with a plethora of blast effects, many that would be exclusive molds and colors to this specific set, of course.

No. Not what I was talking about, or what I'd want. I'm talking blast effects, and only blast effects, bagged up like candy.

That would never happen. That's what we asked for spare guns ove rand over. But we had to have a Weaponiser deluxe along. That's the more realistic approach.

Still, a 3P company would gladly sell a baggie full of only blast effects. But Hasbro or even Takara? Sadly never. It's a miracle the Centurion set exist at all.

It baffles me why Hasbro seems so dead set against any official Transformers weapons (only) or accessory (only) packs. Everything must include a transforming bit. Don't even push them in stores, online only plain selects packaging is fine, just make the damn things.

Seriously, with current plastic limits on classes in place, you could make a really decent number of things from a core class plastic allowance, most of which would be simple to design, require zero assembly and likely "put them all in a bag, then a box" packaging.

The Matchbox style cars, the "collector cars", the masks, the Nerf guns, and so on, disproves the theory.

They must think accessories by themselves won't sell. They are half right because the Centurion pack is still not sold out at Pulse. I wonder if the thing would have sold more if it were like 15$ cheaper without Centurion? :-?
(It would still have cost me 30$+ in shipping fees though.)

Yes it is, it currently says sold out. It sold out fast and as far as I know was never restocked (I managed to get 2). But that also makes it a bad case to measure whether weapons only packs would sell as many wanted to troop build the Centurion drones, while others didn't want them at all and only wanted the weapons (I wanted multiples of both).

I mean if anybody wants some extra blast effects you can have mine, since my CHUG shelf is a mix of lines, it seems weird for some to have them and others not, so I just stuffed them all in Trypticon's belly.

And I don't get why they don't do accessory packs when even the original 3.75" G.I. Joe figures had several accessory packs made so historically they should know accessories sell.

So I'm double posting this here and in the Steal of a Deal thread in hopes of possibly creating a steal of a deal for many of us. When others found Cyclonus apparently in stock at Gamestop, I took a look myself, but decided to pass and wait for Amazon.

But I happened to notice that Gamestop has the prices wrong and low for most of wave 2. The have the deluxes at $16.99, Voyagers at $24.99 and Leader UM at $44.99.

However this actually is not a great deal because of how Gamedstop set up their pre-orders. They are treating each item as a separate "order" as far as how their free shipping at $35 per order goes. They are charging $6 for shipping on each item since they won't let you combine. The only way I've found to get free shipping is to order enough of each individual item to get each item above $35, so 3 Airazors will work, but not 1 each of the 3 deluxes. Basically the great price gets wiped out by the shipping. Anyone interested in Kingdom UM can get him for free shipping since he is above the threshold all on his own.

However, I do have a challenge for everyone that has the wave 2 deluxes or voyagres on pre-order with Amazon. Go to the page for each item on Amazon, and report a lower price and give them the link to Gamestop's page for each item. In enough of us do it, it might make Amazon lower their price to match Gamestop and give us all the better pricing that have pre-ordered on Amazon. You can find the link to report a lower price in the Product Information area, under the feedback heading (scroll down a bit).

I'll be curious to see if this will work before scalpers see the price and wipe Gamestop out of stock.

Here are the links to Gamestop for anyone who wants to try this out. I've already submitted them myself.

I placed my order for Kingdom Wave 2 with them last week as I was looking for Galactic Man and they had him in stock. Although if I had waited till this week I could have received a $10 discount.

With the price difference and ability to use Quadpay or Sezzle, I went with Gamestop as the math says I'm only paying a couple of extra dollars because of the shipping.

It's stupid that they're charging shipping so I'm passing on this. On the surface the prices are great, but then they're charging $5.99 per item for shipping instead of lumping them all together and giving free shipping on an order over $35. In the end it comes to more than the MSRP total so I'll just wait because these will certainly be cheaper at release in some places.

These crossovers continue to get weird don't they?

I've got them on Amazon and had the same thought, although mine is a mix of wonder and fear. I'd love to get them earlier than expected, but don't need another $80 worth of items I budgeted for next year creeping into this month.

I've got them on Amazon and had the same thought, although mine is a mix of wonder and fear. I'd love to get them earlier than expected, but don't need another $80 worth of items I budgeted for next year creeping into this month.

If only Amazon.com did not limit the toy pre-orders to the U.S, I would have pre-ordered through them.

Not sure why they have this limitation. Its kind of annoying.

As it is BBTS or TF Source work great. Even Ami-Ami lets me ship things south of the U.S border without any issues, it just takes longer to get here.

If anyone out there just wants their Transformers Kingdom figures NOW rather than wait for the chance to find them at retail, well they are available. We were informed that BBTS just got the deluxe figures in. Those include Warpath, Cheetor, Paleotrex and Blackarachnia. They are $21.99 USD each and ship worldwide (though shipping can get rather pricey for fans outside the US). All these toys can be purchased here.

If ever you do find these toys at retail, which hopefully happens sooner rather than later, please let us know.

That is neat, but I can wait. Hopefully this just means other retailers will get them sooner than later. Amazon still says Feb 3rd for my Paleotrex, but maybe that will change?

The only one I really want is Warpath, and I can wait until Amazon ships him. I might also get Blackarachnia, but she'll be an in-hand decision.
