A new advertisement found in Walmart has revealed information about an exclusive extra on the Walmart 2 disc Transformers Movie DVD set.
The Walmart Version of the Transformers Movie will not only contain the feature length movie, but also "Transformers: Beginnings", an exclusive prequel narrated by Optimus Prime himself, Peter Cullen.

I usually get my DVD's from Walmart because there usually cheaper in this area now I have a great incentive to pick it up from only them

Gotta be honest, a narrated storyboard doesn't do much for me. If this was an *animated* prequel like they originally said it would be, then I'd be on board with it.
I'm definitely sticking with my metal case edition from Future Shop over this one.

this walmart exclusive could be a dud. Back when ROTS came out on dvd walmart was offering this dvd bonus called "The Story of Star Wars" narrated by 3po and R2. It basically summarized all of luke's episodes and all of Anakin's episodes and was like 30 min. long. There was some funny r2 and 3po interaction, live 'host' footage as well, but nothing too exciting. I was hoping for more. I am tempted by the walmart TF bonus - but wary.

I'm sure this exclusive will only be paired with the single disc version of the film, so anyone planning on buying the 2-Disc version will either be out of luck or have to buy another copy of the movie...

You know what? I think I'll wait a few years to buy the DVD at all. Becuase, inevetably, the "ultimate" version will be released with a whole lot of other stuff not included in ANY of these versions.

aint this old old old news ? i remember it being said it would contain this . Its the animated comic if i remember correctly. Ill be buying the single version myself and then i'll download the rest , im not paying for that stuff, they made enough money off me already lol

I saw the in-store ad today at my local Wal-Mart. The Prequel DVD is included with the 2-Disc Special Edition version. I believe it also said it comes in a special metal casing.

metal case or bust. If you had all the Voltron collector's editions and The Departed bestbuy case you'd understand. They're so awesome. If I can get it with the walmart disc - why not? Price should be < $20, don't like their price.

Target has exclusive bonus features on an extra disc for most the big releases... anyone know if that'll be the deal with TF as well? Sometimes they have other random gimmicks for the exclusives too. Who knows.

They made such a big deal about Peter Cullen as Optimus, but I honestly think the original Bumblebee voice would have done wonders for them movie. Not like he had to do a lot of lines.
This movie also has Frank Welker as Megatron, but he's not doing a G1 Megatron voice, he's trying to make it sound like the movie Megatron. Sad.
