I know it's not G1, and it's also not really my place to say this, but by making a movie that something we are familiar with since childhood, they should at least try to study it more thoroughly... I mean such characters like megatron, optimus, sidewipe to name among others. It really hurts when you see them got different personality. Megatron's injuries are noted, while Prime had one arm left after battling with Sentinel, I won't mind Megatron losses, but not lasting for 3 minutes!? Megatron should have repair himself first, He can always go to Cybertron.(He flew to cybertron right after he is revived by fellow decepticon in TF 2)I also know that this is Bay's last movie, but you never know what will happens next in hollywood.
Here's the problem, Bay knew nothing of TransFormers. He was only given a certain amount of info, from both the writers and producers. Since he was an outsider and given not much to work with, I can't blame him for not knowing the mythos. In all fairness, it runs deep, and in many directions. Heck, there are 'verses I know nothing about. Nor do I care. So if a fan has that problem, imagine an outsider who's thinking this is all a joke.
The writers all grew up with this stuff, they knew the source material, they admitted this, and look at the changes they created! They should be ashamed of themselves.
Megatron couldn't repair himself, no Energon. The only source on Earth is The Matrix, and Prime ain't coughin' it up for his arch enemy.
Actually, no, he didn't fly to Cybertron in the second movie. That was a crashed Cybertronian carrier, but it wrecked on Saturn's moon. (One of them, I should say, I don't think it was clarified as to which moon. If it was, I can't remember.)
As for Bay, they could bring him back if they cough up enough money. However, if I was him, I'd stand my ground and say no. Hell no.
