2016 Generations Platinum sets

I got to thinking about the Commonality of space year : 2005/2006 related Movie sets and how some of that might translate to use of Titans moulds - like Galvatron for example would be nice with a magenta Hotrod and a cartoon colour Kup and perhaps a different decoration take on scourge (so you can use the default retail ones as Sweeps) also a more Takara like Blurr would be good options.
There is also the more left field possibilities like making a Red/blue Leo Prime as well as the Generations Ultra Magnus mild remould idea that keeps coming up as a want.
But the other thought I had was how Hasbro is looking to hire a new Asia Brand Manager type - perhaps that person might like to do things like Fire Guts God Ginrai (if Takara shows no interest) or perhaps Nucleon Quest Super Convoy.

My guess is that this year all platinum sets will be TLK movie related, as was the case with AOE.

Is that light blue really something people wanted? Where'd they even come up with that shade?

Still, better than nothing for people who don't want to pay the absurd ebay pri...........

Though they could have gone crazy and made the grey even lighter and the orange more yellowish and really made him look different I guess.
I'd like to see the planet mode though.
Does his hand light up still ?

OK Cheers I'll go look.
---------
I was looking for a specific Generation One themed post to make this observation - but when I searched there was nothing obvious turning up so considering the likes of Astrotrain/Blitzwing, Blaster/Perceptor & The Insecticons I guess here will do too to say what was on my mind.
I've been thinking a lot about G2 Defensor and if or when they will do one (Or the Operation Combination Japanese Guard City deco either) and I got to pondering if I actually like all the colours on them or if the set would look different enough (though the alt-colour for Defensor would be nice anyway just to make a western boxed set perhaps).
But anyway what my mind wandered to was these :
http://www.tfu.info/2003/Decepticon/Rui ... nation.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2004/Decepticon/Rui ... nation.htm
And how spiffy they look with the unified colour scheme so I got to wondering what with some of the G1 Special Teams getting reissues in Japan around 2009 the mould may be available still.
So what about applying the same idea to all the other available vintage combiner moulds as a gift set idea ?
They are still fun toys even 30 years later so I can't see why not.
As I alluded to on another part of the board I like the idea of Defensor that revolves around slight variations of the colour white.
Something like these perhaps :
http://www.tfu.info/2010/Decepticon/Tar ... ricade.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2010/Autobot/Evac/evac.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2010/Decepticon/Tai ... ilwhip.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2014/Autobot/AKDBlades/blades.htm
I'm not sure what you could do with the Stunticons though - perhaps make up some fantasy sponsor and cover them in sponsor logos ?.
http://www.tfu.info/2005/Decepticon/Dec ... charge.htm
Or use their "Alternative colours" perhaps.
http://www.tfu.info/2004/Decepticon/Alt ... eadend.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2009/Decepticon/DeadEnd/deadend.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2009/Decepticon/Del ... eadend.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2012/Decepticon/GDO ... breath.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2010/Decepticon/OilPan/oilpan.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2013/Decepticon/Cyb ... akdown.htm
http://www.tfu.info/2012/Decepticon/AMS ... akdown.htm
Same idea with the other too.
Something I was pondering anyway.

It's not on Amazon UK at all.
They do have G1 Trypticon down from £179.99 to £89.99 if anyone's interested.

It's the same mold but it's a much nicer repaint. Closer to Takaras but with metallics in places too.
And I don't care for the Ultra Magnus (or Kup and Blurr here). Springer's great but I already have the original release of the mold which I prefer.

Having PROPER DUEL pistols would have been ideal (along with the one I have already)

Yeah that's my only complaint. I'd rather they left out the swords as I hardly use them on my regular Gen Arcee figure. I just don't like them much. Far prefer the guns.

But if anyone in the UK is reading this check the listing there is another couple of seller who are only 2 or $3 more and they might ship to the UK.

Just tried them all to my address but they all say 'Sorry, this item can't be shipped to your selected address.'
I dunno what the shipping costs would be like if they could deliver but $84.99 is only about £68 so even with shipping I presume the final cost be a fair bit cheaper than the £139.99 price I currently find them the cheapest for here in the UK.
