obviously we can't get a decent gun Megatron because the cops are mistaking everything for a firearm. A few years ago cops in Times Square mistook a yellow metro card for a gun and fired a fusillade of bullets toward the man. They missed him completely, but managed to buck down an old granny in a walker. So let's just give the fruity colored Megatrons a rest and move on with him as a Tank.Deadput wrote:1984forever wrote:So much fail in this set!
Prime is levitating in the box to give the impression that he is the same size as Megatron, who is smushed down in the box and standing spread legged. All to fool kids into thinking that these two are evenly matched.
A Prime closer to his G1 self and a grey tank Megatron both in G1size would have been perfect
Dude what the heck does that even mean?
It's box art man it's not supposed to be accurate it's supposed to look cool like you know every other box art every other toy in the world does I mean look at this bionicle for example does he look like you can actually have him surf on lava or is it something to look cool? And what the heck is G1 size So now G1 is also defined on what size they are you serious?
This Megatron is closer to the original gun Megatron then a tank is but your saying that in order to be as close to the G1 gun Megatron as we can we should use the tank Megatron instead of another gun Megatron genius I say!
Amelie wrote:Bonus thought -
What if the Platinum sets were actually part of the licensing deal for whichever store carried them as "must order" products in order to get other items? After all - they're all molds that Hasbro have often used to death already, so the profit margin on Hasbro's part must be huge, since the tooling itself was paid for a long time ago.
I say this because I know that other companies like Gamesworkshop or even magazine suppliers have 'must order' and 'minimum quantity' stipulations.

"G1 size" mean nothing because the size of the toys were all over the place back then.

Exactly my point

• Rodimus Prime vs. Galvatron set – uses the Titanium Rodimus Prime and Universe Galvatron molds
• Another set with two Sweeps (one apparently using the Botcon Devcon head) and the Universe Cyclonus mold

*gets my passport* - SOMEONE IS GOING TO FEEL SOME PAIN![]()
So an utterly crud Rodimus thats going to tower over arguably one of the worst classics figures ever?
What are they putting in the water at Hasbro HQ? LSD?

I am so deeply sadenned by this news. Hasbro now knows that the G1 reissues work. Most sold out in less that a year of being on the market. They said they would keep it going. This is just demoralizing. I can get any of these basic molds on e-bay if I wanted to (which I dont, I have all the ones I need, not paying jack SHIZZLESNIT for a titanium rodimus). Oh man this is just sad.
Come on Hasbro you could have reissued G1 Galvatron in toon accurate colours for the film's anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all this garbage I shudder to think of how they would have handled a Beast Wars anniversary.

So let me get this straight, you would rather have Titanium Rodimus over G1 Hot Rod and Universe Galvatron over a purple G1 Galvatron?

Hellscream9999 wrote:Sorry if I come off as actually 'anti-G1', but, I really do greatly dislike more than 90% of the G1 figures and wouldn't bother buying any of them, save maybe soundwave and his cassettes, and maybe chopshop and his wavemates; I've seen them, and found myself wanting something else

SAVAGE
I don't even know if I want Hasbro to even attempt a Beast Wars anniversary...

If both were an option, the same price and where my collection is currently at; I'd choose the newer molds.william-james88 wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:I would sooner buy this than G1 re-issues

Darkman20xx wrote:I don't see why Hasbro teases these sets like this. This one is all over the place. If you were going to reference something as awesome as the battle they had from the G1 movie at least throw in the weapons like an G1 looking Optimus rifle and Meg's energy sword. Or possibly the gun he used to kill Optimus. Personally I still don't see why Hasbro hasn't made an official trailer for the classics Op yet. None of that included with 2 figures with color schemes nowhere matching the scene makes me wish they had not wasted the idea. That means that this would be the best we get.
