I'm not surprised it failed, when they tried to bring it back they tried to do it though kickstarter...
Hey guys, got an email from Griff last night just sating to let you guys know that because of the risks involved and some other projects being behind that this isn't one that can go through. Also said that he wouldn't be giving the design to another company, which is respectable.
So, it sucks but hopefully in the future there's an even better Nova design that comes along and is one that can be produced. I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who had interest in this one coming to light, though.

Kickstarter (as other crowdfunding sites) works perfectly fine for a lot of things! The issue did not seem to be on that front, when I followed it, but rather on the behind the scenes of the people who would then go on to actually produce the figure.
