It's one of those times when i wish i would have been wrong,like the others i am sad to see OS go,hope he will be back when his life gets a bit easier in that respect.
As for Mkall,a good choice in my opinion and capable one, which also knows the crowd here.I wish him luck and cant wait to see what he cooks up in here.I see he was already at work when i first wanted to post this the site went down and now only games is down so he sure is willing and started on this.My hat is off to that!
Like Wrath said,hopefully he will on our side so Cons can rule the Cybertron!

Glad to see your taking over Mkall! You've already shown so much dedication to the game already. Can't wait to see the direction of HMW! It is sad to hear that OS had to leave us, but I hope he pops his head in to say hello in the future.

Oh how life plays havoc upon us all. I do hope Omega Sentinel sticks around at least as a friend of the boards. He was a character with alot of good ideas and such. Mkall the ball's in your court my friend. I pray for the change that must come.

Wow. As I was off in console land I was unaware of the happenings of the last few weeks. A new programmer huh? Well, Nice to see it is someone with a healthy(Read: nutty like the rest of us.) interest in HMW.

I know HMW is all written in PHP but if by some freakish turn of events you ever need a C# programmer give me a buzz (or a pm). Best of luck and I hope you don't get burned out like Omega Sentinel seems to have. He seems like a good guy and hopefully will still come around.

Thanks for stepping up Mkall, sounds like it will be a natural fit for you. Don't worry about lack of PHP experience, I seem to remember reading the tale of how a young TransFan started a site partly to practice his programming skills and has taken that practice into a career. What was the name of that site? Oh, yes! It's this very one! I foresee a new golden age for the community. I especially like your triple-changer plans.

OS, if you are still checking the boards, thank you for your time on HMW, the new lease of life you infused into the game, and the many great ideas you brought to the game. Best of luck with everything in the real world.

Man I am saddened that it came down to OS having to leave do to his job. He did alot for this game as it was mentioned. Sadly I am a little late in responding to this.

On a happier note I am glad that Mkall is being given the chance to be the HMW Programmer. From speaking with him in the past about computer programming since it is what I do in the real world also I believe the game is in good hands. Good luck to you bud.

Nope, I think he was at least the third progammer, I don't remember the first one, but the programmer before Omega was a guy named Glyph.

Short history lesson: Vir was the person who created Heavy Metal War and -- not long afterwards -- left, leaving Seibertron to take care of it. After many months had gone by, Glyph became the first programmer. Omega Sentinel was chosen after Glyph left.
