If they are in the movie, maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be offlined in the first few minutes.

I might be the only one to say this but, I actually want the Twins in the movie. If they get cut out, how will they explain this in the story!! That's my main concern. Same thing with Jolt. He was there (barely) and now he's gone? Just stupid.

Both of you, these sorts of posts are not welcome on this site. Bay didn't appreciate the death threats when the first movie came out, and Seibertron.com is not going to be a breeding ground for such threats whether you mean them or not.

Hmm... Its apparent that many here don't understand how filming works. Many times scripts are made, but are made with variations. What might sound good to the ear, or look good on paper doesn't turn out as well as the director/producers hoped on film. Many reasons can account for this. Time, money, relevance to the story etc. The fact that they were present during filming doesn't automatically constitute them being in the final cut. Its perfectly plausible they had intentions of them being in, but were cut out on the editing room floor.
As far as toys goes, the fact that we have toys means nothing. Most of the toys we've received from the movie lines never were in either films. So that point in moot. Also, Nelson is really putting himself out on this one. If he in fact is wrong, his credibility will be shot. So I'm thinking that he's pretty sure what he's talking about. we'll see for sure come July 1rst.

On a side note..

All those that continue to insist that the twins were a "racial stereo type" or any kind of stereo type.. Really, and i mean really think about what your saying. These were not humans. They were green and orange robots. If you truly felt them as any kind of stereo type then i would go as far as saying that you, THE FANS are the ones that are doing the stereo typing Your the ones making that connection. not Micheal Bay. Not Hasbro. You! It almost seems that some are just jumping on the band wagon with this racial/stereo type crap as an excuse to get them out because your pissed that they were some of the ones that had the most screen time and character development. And yes, they did have character development. If they didn't, we would be having this conversation, let alone thread 6 pages deep discussing whether or not they will be appearing in the 3rd movie.

To re-iterate what Blaster says to Perceptor in the 1986 movie,

"Let's hope so, but if they didn't, I HOPE they do look like burn out toaster ovens."

at the end of the movie.

I'd love to see em, but ahhh, it wouldn't ruin my day if they wern't.

Dude, who cares, haha. does it really matter that much to you that people don't like the twins? Suck it up. This thread is about them, and therefore the movie.. no surprise we're 6 pages in. People (well, smarter people) only stereotype when theres grounds for it. If they were like Tuvok on Voyager, no one would know they're supposed to be ghetto inspired characters. Whether or not you agree with people who stereotype the twins, you can't dismiss the fact that there are definitely enough grounds for it, visually (look like a junkyard bot), linguistically (ebonics) , and behaviourly (the way they are rough with each other in that sorta, you my *, no you my *) sorta way.

I wouldn't be surprised. Take Jolt for example from Revenge of the Fallen. I think he might've had more scenes in the movie but was cut out. Or perhaps it was getting more expensive to render all that CGI and was cut out as much as possible to save money.

I was totally shocked to see Jolt at the end of the movie because he barely had any presence in the film.

I Agree as well, I don't hate the twins, least not any more than the overall distaste I have for the movies, so I don't care either way. But the few bad actors that are in it make it worse. Sadly, the twins have the most character in the movie, apart from Optimus, Megatron, and Starscream. The others are just fiiiiiillllllaaaaaaa.

Your not getting it. I don't care if people like them or not. Its there opinion and thats fine. But it gets pretty anoying constantly hearing about no character development in the movies when the twins are pouring it out of there ears. Thats what i meant about this thread being 6 pages deep. Like them or not, they had alot of personality.

I don't nessasarly disagree that some of their behavior was "getto". But getto behavior still does not warrant any type of racial stereo type. This is where people are making their own conections

Not sure where you were going with your comments (especialy the last one ), but for me the behaviors you listed in the twins were more imature "wanna be" tuff guys. As far the way they were rough with each other,.... I'm guessing you never had a brother? Cause thats how i related their behavior. two brothers (cause thats what they are) pushing each other around trying to out "tough' the other. Nothing more. nothing less.

You make enough valid points to make me stop caring to correct anyone further, haha. I just find them boring is all (and ugly). I have a bro, but i have more friends that I treat like that.

I think people see the black part from the big gold tooth, big ears, and overall junkyard looking appearance. The dialogue is very 'street' aswell. Aaaanyway, beating a dead horse. If i have offended anyone, i apologize, I'm just trying to show why people would racially stereotype, they didn't really seem black to me after I saw the movie either, but I can see why people say it. Oh, and i didn't want to say the N word, so i *'ed. Finally, I think they had character, but I don't think they underwent any character development. Something to think about; Why didn't they make Ironhide and Sideswipe the razzing around tough guys? I think they wanted to skimp on the dialogue so that people would relate faster to the bots.

I hope that they are. I wont care that much if they're not tho. Not the biggest chatacters in my eyes. Lest screen time for them the more for better bots.

no twins can only be a positive thing.

now if bay refrains from giving the ferrari the rumoured stere- typed italian accent than perhaps we might get a movie which doesnt trade on cheap national typecasting and racial stereotyping
