The reason those robots were hostile was because most of the modern day technology, on Earth, was created by studying Megatron. They were basically reverse-engineering Decepticon technology. So all the machines on Earth would've become Decepticons because of who their technology came from.

but correct me if im wrong but where the decepticons and autobots brothers basically, and the only difference with them was personality??? So im fairly sure im right in saying reverse engerneering something doesnt take all its traits, just its technology

Your not wrong but your failing to see the big picture........In the case of transformer life, their technology and personality traits go hand and hand.

Their basically "artificial intelligence" so aspects of their personalties would be impeded into every circuit of their bodies.

And in that every peace of technology removed from them would also have these "personalty codes" hard wired into them.And fragments of those "personalty codes" would have also been passed down to any technology derived threw reverse engerneering.

Your thinking that they would have had to take him completely apart to "reverse engineered" some components.That would not have been needed.

If our tech was infact reverse engineered from Megs like they said in the film thay would have only needed to remove a few items from Meg's to get what they needed to created the computer chips inside of cell phones, cars and what ever else.

And I'm pretty sure that a TF would have more then a few access panels to get at their internal circuitry for battle field repairs so we humans wouldnt need to remove all that many parts to get at stuff..

Thats taking into consideration that they Meg's is composed of nuts and bolts like we use.

Not if we [humans] went in threw the access panels.Any such access panels should be eazy to open and even if not such panels could be cut open along the seams by a few different methods.

A panel seam could be melted threw , we know that movie TF bodies are not impervious to high degrees of heat.

A other way to open the panels could be to use small amounts od strong acids.

We should also be able to cut threw with a good cutting tool all thou it would be far less precise.

Replacing the panels might be more diffcult then removing them but if we can melt them off we can most likely melt them back.And besides TF's may re-grow such panels like we do finger nails.
