I haven't tried out the Arena yet, but I'm thinking about doing it as a change of pace. How different is it from Missions? How should I prepare? I'm thinking about picking one Transformer and making him my "Arena character" at least for now, but what should I look towards for him?

Arena = 1 on 1 and is generally dominated by rammers.

But at level 0, it's whoever can swing the handbag the hardest.

Generally, I'd reccomend not. One, that takes another face out of the missions for the rest of us, and two, depending on time, you can end up in a colossal waiting game for someone else to go in there.

I'm going to assume you are one of the outnumbered level 0 cons, yes? Then you'll probably move throgh a tad faster than the bots. but it really isn't worth the payout to be sitting on your hands.

If he's one of those "outnumbered level 0 Cons" then it's even better for him to go to the arena.

It's level 0, it doesn't matter where you go, it's all going to come down to luck of the draw and if you are constantly outnumbered then you may as well just go one on one as your xp gain will probably be higher.

In the short term, it sadly probably is in your best interests, because it's difficult to actually benefit from being out numbered until you actually have a few stats. That said, I wouldn't bother unless there's actually some opposition waiting for you.

In the long run though, the Arena's only for losers and cowards!

Most of the time yes, but if the RNG gods are with you, a single Zero can be carried out of a mission making twice what his two or three enemies did AFTER their victory bonus, since he has twice as many places to hit. (done it a few times.) Or, he ends uup with bupkiss. (done that too when I first got back) It can be a steep gamble, but an hour and 20 can still be faster than the arena
