Also: every youtube review of Arcee I'd seen, the reviewer had know idea how to store her weapons in robot mode, other than put them on her forearms. For some reason, none of them did THIS with her swords! It's been bugging the hell out of me.

I was trying to figure out how you connected them there while looking at my OS KO Alcee and I couldn't see how. Til I realised they're connected to the read part of the car folded up under and I have that bit currently removed (it can be removed on the official toy too relatively easily and attached back on as I used to with my original Generations Arcee). Does make more sense to have the swords in that place on her body though out of her way but easy to grab too.

EDIT: just tried it and i can't get the swords to peg in there facing that way for some reason. That's odd.

Forgot I even did that til you pointed it out. Prime had the most work done and Bee had some extra paint and also apoxie in the insides of his feet to fill the gaps. But yeah Megs did get a bit of a metallic brushing. Your pic is amusing cos I used have a Visionaries figure Cryotek (my only one cos i could never find the darn things) often ride on back of my Doubledealer like that (i forget why). So thanks for the nostalgia.

Yeah man, good custom work gets lost in the shuffle sometimes (as it looks like it should've been there anyway!) No problem for the nostalgia kick, I've been finding a few of my late G1 figures are some of my favorites lately. I mean, that Doubledealer was a Christmas gift, with a letter attached about Megatron (the figure I wanted) and Starscream fighting for control of the Decepticons (which is why Megatron wasn't available and at this point I was in to the comics, which was accurate)!!

I think that toy misses the point of Doubledealer in that it has a secondary alt-form (the jet) instead of a secondary 'robot' form (the bird) Plus it still has the shoulder flaw the Blitzwing version of the mold. Bleh, maybe we'll get a proper dedicated Doubledealer update sometime. The bird mode was my favourite so he can't be doing without that.

My Doubledealer can be seen in this photo in bottom left. Not sure where his Powermaster engine dudes are since I know I definitely had them. This pic is from 2006 when I had to sell the remainder of my childhood Transformers (bar Powermaster Optimus Prime which I still have) cos I had no money at all. Is ok. I made my peace with that and prefer modern TF toys anyways particularly movie ones but yeah it's weird looking back at those. Hell I remember falling down the stairs in my childhood home in London with that Scorponok cos it was a lil heavy for me to carry down properly. And I was upset when his 'head' (really just his helmet, he was in Scorpion form) came off from us falling but it clipped right back on anyways. Phew. Not many G1 parts are that easy to put back on.

I actually thought about that, the bird was really a secondary robot mode, with the missile transport as the true "alt mode" for both "robot modes". Still a neat design though.
