I've long thought it would be cool to have some backdrops on the back of some of my figures' shelves. So I found a suitable image online

it looks great. leaving the gap on the bottom was the right decision.

I believe, and ScottyP will correct me if I'm wrong, that the target of the lambasting was the 30 of 30 'exclusive' line, rather than the 2014 Generations line (with its 'Thrilling' sub-label). That's what the picture seems to be depicting, too.

That would be my assumption as well. And to be fair, that line did suck. "Collect these 30 specially marked figures! The majority of which will be rare convention exclusives! And some will even be exclusives to foreign cons! And there will be duplicates of characters, using the same mold, in this one line of 30 figures! Enjoy!"

Thanks! I did also end up printing a backdrop for my corresponding Decepticon shelf as well. I just thought I'd wait to share photos until I had both modes... and I haven't gotten around to transforming them yet. (With eleven figures on that shelf sharing a mold, it isn't the most exciting figure to transform!)

But what the hell, here is the vehicle mode pic:



Since this shelf is a bit less tall, I didn't have to leave a gap... Indeed, this time I even had to trim the height a bit!

I guess it was beginners luck with the first one... I had a devil of a time getting this one adhered! It did end up a wee bit wrinkled in the process. But it is more obvious to the camera then it is to the naked eye, so not something that shall bother me on a day to day basis.

Hmm... The picture does look a bit fuzzy. (Fortunately, an effect reduced a bit when the photo is shrunken to fit within a forum post.) I'm not at home right at this moment, but perhaps I shall re-take it before I get around to transforming everybody for their robot mode shot.

might i make a suggestion for ravage?

chimung has a (probably KO) device label ravage for less than 12 bucks, only with no actual memory stick inside. i bought one, and its spot on the original and color, and even has the faction symbol tampo'd on. he's the ravage on my C/G display

I REALLY really really wanted to get Long Haul when he first came out in 2009! Sadly, I missed the boat and had to settle for Payload a year later. Fast forward to last Thursday and I find Long Haul in a random flea market in a mall!

I keep seeing this mould and everytime think it is amazingly well engineered considering its age. It really does seem to still hold its own after so long, yet I dont own a version of it!
Do we have a handy gallery I can browse with the different versions around here somewhere?
I wonder what this mould fetches on Evilbay?

Just an interesting factoid. That great toy donated his awesome engineering to this great toy.

I guess that goes to show how good the original is.
