It looked the same to me.cotss2012 wrote:Dude, we totally had better CGI than that back in 2000. War Planets looked way better, and it was made by the same people!

Again, Beast Wars wasn't good because of its animation, but because of its compelling plot and well written characters. Just because something *looks* good or bad doesn't mean it *is* good or bad.cotss2012 wrote:Also, let's not forget that Beast Wars, while not the most stunningly realistic CGI ever, also managed to avoid looking like Quake III. For example, light reflected off of some surfaces (typically the Transmetal characters), which was something you never saw in BM.

Who's whining? I liked Beast Machines. It's my fourth favorite series (tied with RiD). But I don't know if I'd put Prime up there with it. At the moment, I'm not sure if I like Prime more, less, or the same as Beast Machines.BeastProwl wrote:Stop whining and go watch beast machines if havn't already! It's compelling, serious, mature, and downright dark. I put it and TF Prime in the same boat.

Dude, comparing BM and RID is like comparing "Fire in the Sky" with "Kremzeek". It's just... NO!

Here's how it works for me:BeastProwl wrote:RiD is my Personal Fav of all time, with BM and Prime in a VERY CLOSE Second place...

That's three different series, you can't count them as one. You can count them as a three-way tie, but not one single series.cotss2012 wrote:6. Armadaverse

Did you grow up on this show? No? Well, that explains it. I grew up on Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and RiD, thus they hold great sentimental value for me, which is why I hold them all to such a high regard. I KNOW well that RiD was not a great series, but it's nowhere near as bad as people claim it to be (that title belongs to Energon). Besides, my list was not a canonical list of best series to worst series, but a list of MY PERSONAL FAVORITES to least favorites. There were no facts put into that list, hence why I left Prime off.cotss2012 wrote:8. RID

Why, what'd you grow up on? I'm glad to have been introduced to the series by the one that holds the highest regard among the majority of the fandom (BW).cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I grew up on Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and RiD, thus they hold great sentimental value for me

No offense, but that's kinda sad.cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:what'd you grow up on?
In effect, two VHS tapes, each with material that was copied from tapes that my mom rented from Blockbuster. One tape had most of Season 1, though the episodes were in the wrong order (since we had no idea what the correct order was and not every video store had every episode). The other tape had a censored version of the movie and "The Return of Optimus Prime".

Yeah, but season 2 had 'the agenda'.
FWIW, I consider BW and BM a whole.
