That Vangelus video is starting to sway me. #-o

I would go for the cartoon accurate red-armed version if I were to get this. I'm all about screen accuracy.

I wonder what sorts of options might be available in carrier mode. It'd be really great if the leg-guns mounted on the flattop (Metroplex Legs) in a sort of G1 fashion. The red gun that comes with him can, hence the desire for the versions with two of those guns. Then, what to do with the tower portion. I just checked, and the screw holes on the open helipad are not the same width as the ones either side of the seated gun on the shoulder. I think it's going to be fun to see how this guy can be adapted.

If you delete the url up to "v=", and then encapsulate the code after "v=" in the Youtube tags, that embeds it. Quote my reply above (or edit your own) and you can see what part is needed for the YouTube embedding.

I am really conflicted. C'mon, BBTS, bring in this guy before I can change my mind, drop the red armed preorder, and preorder the black arms... 8-}

Since I'm still waiting for this to hit my PoL, I haven't made a decision yet.

It's a long shot, but does anyone here have both the Takara and Hasbro Metroplexes? If so, is there any(or at least a noticeable when next to each other) difference in the white plastic colors? Since he's mostly gonna be in robot mode standing with Metroplex, I'd like to have the whites match and don't wanna run the risk of the red arm version(which I'm coming around to more and more over the black) having a slightly different white...

I know there's a 'Hasbro' version and a 'Takara' version, but does it really make a difference? Are the two cross compatible, or are the colors really devised such that they are more appropriate for the Metroplex they are assigned to?

The color difference on Sixgun is mostly personal preference. Both options, red and black, will look equally good on either version of Metroplex as the Hasbro/Takara Metroplex's only real difference is the addition of chrome.

The reason for the black or red arms on this release is whether you prefer the G1 toy of Sixgun(black arms) or his cartoon appearance(red arms).

Indeed. Although I was unaware of the fact that he had red arms in the cartoon when I ordered the red version. (Been a while since I saw the later episodes... I've got them all on DVD; I have to get through them all one of these days!) I just thought that, when he had the black guns attached, the red arms would add a better contrast. On the other hand, however, others have expressed a like for the black arm version because that offers more of a contrast between the arms and the rest of the base figure itself.

Anyway, I'm pairing my red-armed version up with a U.S. retail version Metroplex. So I'm expecting everything should match up well enough even with the red-armed version being marketed as the "Japanese version."

Ah, I see. You plan on Metroplex being able to wield Six Sigma's legs and have a place for the rest of Six Sigma on Metroplex's person, so to speak. Interesting. I was looking for something similar in carrier mode. I can't wait to get him in and see what options there are...

I figure we are close. I wouldn't be surprised if it starts hitting online retailers early next week. That is pure speculation though.

Well, as seen earlier in this thread, they're at least far enough along for Vangelius to have gotten a review sample. Hopefully soon! (Of course, I shan't be able to ship it right away anyway, as there's some other stuff in my Stack that I'll be waiting on...)

That's all the confirmation I need to swap to the red armed version. I was worried the red and white would be noticeably different next to the US version, but they look really good together. Also, glad they went with red on the ends of the arms/tower "guns" instead of the black seen in previews. Much more coherent looking.
