NOOO!!! I passed on mirage a few monthes back on clearance for 5 bucks!

Hey can you sell me some of your classics? :-?
That's a shame that you passed because Mirage is great!

i bought a mirage on clearance for 3$ at wal mart.... sorry if im rubbing it in, but just thought id share :D . as for the best classics, id say jetfire.
That's cool but I think I have ya beat. My girlfriends mom lives in New Hampshire and here dad lives in Massachusetts. While she was out there to visit them about 5 months ago she came across my Devastator gift pack on clearance at Wal Mart for $15. She picked it up and surprised me when she got home. I was pleasantly surprised because I hadn't found it yet and I was appreciative but at the same time I was sayin' WHY DIDN'T YOU GET 2 or 3??!! HaHa

Oh I was extremely happy and she knew it. I was just like why didn't you get an extra! But in a playful way. I agree Devastator needs that sixth robot to be better.

I could only judge from the Classics I have...

It would have to be Starscream. I really like the articulation, sculpting and the paint application. The mold is great too, Hasbro can increase the scale and make it into a Masterpiece.

Voyager Prime. Great update of the character, fantastically posable and he's got TWO GUNS!

Oh, and Skywarp is better than Screamer. Colour scheme is better done. Not that Screamer is bad, just that 'Warp is better.

I can't pick so I got to go with all of them. To date Classics is my favorite TF toy line that I've collected. I own most of the Deluxe and Voyager classics, the only ones I'm missing are the Voyager Skyfire, Deluxe Bumblebee and the MEgatron, Optimus Prime boxed set. OF those three I don't want the boxed set.

I was totally surprised by how awesome Mirage is and just how cool Hot Rod is as well, originally I was going to pass on them, but when I got them I Was poking around and saw one and felt like dropping some money on TFs that day. I also love the voyager Prime toy, I love the possibility of that toy, and the CLiffjumper/Bumblebee toys are quite cool as well.

So yeah, if anyone here has any extra Classics Bumblebee's their willing to part with could you drop me a PM?

Before reading my post, here's what classics I have loose. I haven't transformed any others from this line just yet.

-Ramjet
-Mirage
-BB
-CJ
-Voyager and Deluxe Prime
-Deluxe Megs
-Jetfire
-Devastator
-Rodimus

BB/CJ would be PERFECT if they had some kind of ankle joint. That's their only drawback. They aren't very poseable because of that. GREAT toys though. Very awesome.

Somebody said that Ramjet was more solid than Jetfire? It's the other way around for me. My Ramjet is quite loose in the joints, but jetfire is VERY stiff ... in a good way.(hey, not THAT good :P )

I don't have voyager megatron yet, but I'm working on that.

Starscream, I only have 1 of him MOSC. I do have a loose Skywarp coming to me. I'm sure I can judge SS by SW's poseability.

I do have 1 SW/UM set MISB, but wouldn't entertain the idea of opening that either!

Mirage is probably the most poseable of them all. VERY cool! Prime isn't bad in this dept. either.

Deluxe megs vs. prime. Don't bother opening this one because I did. What a waste of 2 potentially cool toys! Prime just always feels like he is broken or something.

Devastator - 5 bots? Nah ... 3 bots! What a sorry excuse for Devastator. I regret opening this one, even though I have another set MISB.

Grimlock - I only have him MOSC. BUT, I have a loose one coming with the loose skywarp I mentioned. His feet do look really stupid. What were they thinking?

Rodimus - Cool car mode, but his arms really ruin it for me in bot mode. His gun rules, but I can't get past those stupid looking arms!

Rodimus and grimlock aren't the most posable or articulated of the bunch. But like I said earlier and many here have backed it up, Mirage is superb to actually play with. He is one of the most posable Transformers I've ever seen. If you don't have an opened Mirage GET HIM WHILE HE'S STILL CHEAP!!

Seconded. It's so hard for me to choose my fav because the Classics line is one of my all time favorites next to G1. (Yes, I grep with and am a Geewunner!! )

The seekers would have to be my favorite Decepticons because I splurged and got all of them. Jetfire, Prime & Bumblebee would have to be my favorite Autobots.

Again, soooooo hard to choose!

I second the vote for Ramjet.

Skyfire's cool, no doubt, but I'm just not hot on him. Though I'll admit it's mostly because he only appeared in maybe five episodes.

LOL, I fell in love with Classics since I first laid eyes on them when they first came out and I bought as many as my money would let me and bought what I could find when I could find it. I personally think the Classics is the best Transformers line to date. Great articulation and lots of respect to their G1 heritage. I LOVE THESE!! BTW, when my 5 year old daughter gets home this evening I think we'll bust out a Bumblebee and open him because I bought extras for that reason but haven't gotten around to opening that one yet. Probably Astrotrain too.

Mirage is the best Classic made in the general release line.

He's great, perfect likeness, perfect homage, great transformation, onboard gun, posable, no major flaws, and most of all...

he is absolutely 100% unique from any other TF release we've seen.

To be honest, I never realized the Classics line would come to an abrupt end. I figured they would be around for a while and that it would take a long time for them to gain any value. I look back now and I passed up a gold mine worth of thse figures because of the presumption. I came across an entire case of Starscream before last Christmas. They were at Wal Mart and the case was made special so the figures could be displayed right in the case. It had a solid pack of 12 Starscreams. That was only one of many times I came across some of these and passed on extras. I actually only had one Optimus and one Rodimus and I broke down and opened them because they seemed abundant in the stores so I figured I would pick up MOC ones later. Wrong move. The ones that I do have extras of, I bought after I found out they stopped making them and the figures were starting to dry up so I grabbed what I could. Thus the extra figs in the pic. But I lost my oppertunity to get Optimus and Rodimus. Lucky for me my Wal Mart brought out some old stock and I was able to pick up my Optimus and an extra Jetfire. But I had to go to Ebay for my Rodimus.

I can't pick just one so here are my top 5
5)Ramjet
4)Starscream
3)Bumblebee
2)Jetfire
1)Skywarp

I know that some people would say that the Botcon set would'nt count. But I really like Thrust and Thundercracker.

I bought Starscream a few weeks ago, after holding back for ages. Got Soundwave too (and he compares pretty well even if he is 20 years older) and then today went and got Bumblebee, Jetfire and the Prime/Megs 2-pack.
I really like them all, although the Deluxe sized Optimus has a crappily constructed alt-mode (nice transformation sequence though) and a less impressive finish than the rest. I swapped G2style Megs' feet around, and he is a lot better now, but the lack of a right-hand is a bit annoying. Still, he fits in well with my evolution of Megatron theme.
Shame the cool robot mode on the Voyager Megs is spoiled by the strange colour choices, but anyway. Its the only reason I've not got him. Similarly Voyager Prime is a little too futuristic looking in robot mode.
Jetfire is really good. Perfect way to do him, and the ultimate version of both Jetfire and Skyfire characters IMO. looks great in all modes and a pretty sturdy toy.
BB is cool, a nice update since we can't have a Bug. The jet-pack is a good idea and the head...so funky. The Cliffjumper repaint looks pretty, and I'd have no problem buying that if I saw it too.
Passed on the Magnus/Skywarp 2pack the only time I saw it. Like the fool I am.
Starscream is my favourite toy of the line so far though. Aside from the very minor variation in the vehicle mode paint-job, this is like he stepped out of the comics or cartoon and into 3d. Perfect. Bitter about the others being released the way they were, but just glad that I have at least this one. I'd been getting annoyed with Starscream toys which were "almost there" but for a few quite major details, and then this came out.
I passed on Hotrod today, as he doesn't look that much like the original to me. I may get him again, but there was only 1 BB and 2 or 3 Rodimus. Haven't seen any of the others.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Now you know I'm fully aware of the BotCon releases. :)

First, I wasn't considering the clear version because most people don't and won't ever have one.

Second, I was really looking at this from a mold standpoint. There isn't anything with the lithe body design that Mirage has in any TF release. I'd venture to say that only Energon Mirage and Dreadwind come close.

i once bought a classics mirage, but when i opened it i was horrified to find out that it wasn't assembled properly - it had a gap at its seams at the sides when transformed into robot mode. grudgingly i took him back to the toystore and exchanged him for a classics BB. i'm happy with the BB, good homage to the G1 fig while being unique at the same time.

though i still vote for prime because of his bendyness, much more poseable than armada bendy prime. if they found a way to address the issue of side panel kibbles on his forearms, he's be perfect.

P.S. is it just me, but don't you find mirage's construction flimsy at best? the plastic's too, er, strange for my taste...especially the spoilers which form his feet. too soft and bendy. nice mold, wish they'd have used much stronger plastic for him.
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Despite what a few people have been saying about the Megatron/Optimus Prime deluxes, I think they're wonderful. Sure, Prime is a little flimsy, but the G2-ish Megatron is a total win.

Also, Rodimus' buzzsaw is a cool homage to the movie. Made him totally worthwhile. And the way Hasbro corrected Grimlock's T-Rex transformation - that's pretty cool too.

I like every single Classics figure, and cannot see myself putting any of them in storage anytime soon. (I have limited display area).

However Mirage and Jetfire are my two favourites of the lot.
Starscream is possibly the only figure I am a little nonchalant about, but I think that is because Skywarp just looks so much better.
