Bring it on! Molds and all!Sabrblade wrote:Rumors/speculations are going around that it might be a new Unicron Trilogy-themed set, like a redux of Armada.
Then it's not a redux. That defeats the point of making new toys of older characters.Rodimus Prime wrote:Bring it on! Molds and all!Sabrblade wrote:Rumors/speculations are going around that it might be a new Unicron Trilogy-themed set, like a redux of Armada.

OK. I misunderstood. No redux for me, I'd rather have new characters with Armada molds. Armada molds were very good. Unfortunately, they're probably too old now to be reused.Sabrblade wrote:A redux with new toys of older characters is my post was talking about.Rodimus Prime wrote:And...?Sabrblade wrote:Then it's not a redux. Considering that the Club has never ever used an Armada mold before (which isn't surprising since very few of them have any decent amount of articulation), I don't see them using them anytime soon.Rodimus Prime wrote:OK. Forgot about that one. I know. That makes me kinda sad. Toy-wise, Armada is in my top 3, due to the colors and molds used. I'm not sure how well they did for Hasbro on the toy shelves, but I suspect that's 1 reason they didn't think the molds would be viable. Like you said, not much articulation, so they wouldn't be much fun for kids. But I like bricks, having grown up on G1, and I like Armada toys.Sabrblade wrote:Considering that the Club has never ever used an Armada mold before (which isn't surprising since very few of them have any decent amount of articulation), I don't see them using them anytime soon.Rodimus Prime wrote:OK. Silverbolt's dead, unfortunately. And if he got a toy, it'd probably be based on the Beast Machines version.megatronus wrote:What do folks think a Beast Wars Uprising Set would look like? A bit random, but I'd love to see Silverbolt from BH Grimwing/Darksteel (since he didn't get win the poll that gave us Go Shooter) and BW Megatron from FOC Grimlock...

The Tweets told which us themes it wouldn't be (meaning none of the ones that have been done before), so since they've yet to do a RiD-themed or UT-themed BotCon, both are possible, yes.Rodimus Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:

Those 2 fit the categories previously announced, right? I hope it'll be 1 of those.

Yeah, in eBay auctions. But it hasn't been released, though.Rodimus Prime wrote:Wasn't there a prototype of that shown before? The Grimlock body with the Megatron face? I'm certain I've seen it.megatronus wrote:BW Megatron from FOC Grimlock...

Sabrblade wrote:I stand corrected. Fun Pub's used four Armada molds (five if you could SG Sideswipe's Mini-Con separately), two of which were the remolded Cybertron versions.
Still though, considering how few they've used in all these years, I can't see them returning to much more of those molds anytime soon.
Make it from Universe Hot Shot and we might have something here. The original Armada Hot Shot is such a disappointing mold.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I stand corrected. If anything, I'd wanna finally see that canceled Smokescreen repaint of Hot Shot. For a "canceled toy" theme, which we've got plenty of They've done it before with Astrotrain (Universe Spacewarp), Piranacon (Energon Piranhaking), SG Sideswipe (Universe Drench), and to a lesser extent Toxitron, why stop now?
