Big update this time.

First up, I got a couple of Knight Primes. With this haul, I now own all 3 of the FE mold, and I own 8 of the 9 leader mold, only needing the TLK release to have the full set!

Speaking of the leader, more of the Shadow Spark version, which is my favorite

I also got the Movie Advanced Dino! I need to do some work for the left arm blade. the tab is a bit too small to get that blade to latch on, but otherwise, this is a fun release. This is also my first version of this mold

Image

I got the 3 kits that are meant to make Leadfoot movie accurate and upgrade Armor Topspin AKA Twintwist and Track Battle Roadbuster AKA Impactor. Still need to do Twintwist, but these kits are doing a great job.

I have completed my Wreckers upgrades, and they look real good. I cannot wait to unite all 14 Wreckers together hopefully soon.

I also have the TLK voyager and FE Silver Knight Prime (so I have all 3 of that mold). I only need the TLK retail leader and I will have all of that mold! Can't wait to have the fully 13 Primes of the round table assembled once I get the TLK leader and unpack the others.

I need to get me an AoE-design Optimus at some point. Might settle for an FE since I'm more invested in his original design.

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Very nice! That is a great figure, one of the best from AOE.
Being based on a design HasTak's designers were used to probably helped, even if the flatnose truck mode added extra wrinkles.

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I too have an AOE figure that's hanging around. This thing is slick.

Yes, yes it is.

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I managed to get my hands on some old Human Alliance figures, as well as a Movie the Best repaint of one, and I have been enjoying them. These will all eventually end up on my MP scale shelf I think.

This 3P Hot Rod will also go on that shelf. He is really good, and most importantly, gets his live action physiology right with regards to the door wings, wheels, and chest.
Probably helps that he was made as Hot Rod from the start instead of being a Lockdown retool.

The lack of investment in the AoE and TLK toylines was rather disheartening...

I need to take some pics to add to this thread.

I already have a Human Alliance Leadfoot, but a buddy was selling one with the rare upgrade kit installed on it, so I decided to get it. The upgrade kit adds a lot in alt mode. It's not perfect, but the alt mode now looks really great. He will ultimately be staying in alt mode for the shelf display

That Leadfoot upgrade kit looks great, do the parts work in bot mode as well?

Found an original ROTF Mixmaster at a collectors store, it’s pretty fun! Transformation actually isn’t too bad, though trying to pose him in bot mode is definitely tricky.

They work in bot mode yep, though they are clumsy in bot mode.

nice Mixmaster. I want to hunt down more of the original RotF constructicons. I have Long Haul and Demolishor, but I want Mixmaster and Rampage to have the original 4 too

Oh nice! Rampage would be a neat one to see, I found one once but it was missing almost every piece that could be removed.

Also, Zelda, I know I mentioned it before but that Megatron is super cool!

Last weekend I found what was probably my most sought-after older movie figure, Battle Blade Bumblebee! It really is a great figure, super happy to finally have one! I’ve done just a couple touch-ups with the paint:

Also on spring break (I was on a roll with older movie figures), I found a complete 07 Leader Megatron for cheap! It’s a neat figure but definitely blocky and there’s a couple janky things about the transformation. The arm pods are super fun though!
8DB44249-4FFD-44B6-BD05-338B33757FCE.jpeg

Along with Battle Blade Bumblebee (and SS Heli Drift, which is an excellent figure which I’m excited to talk about in the SS thread at some point), I found an 07 Legends Jazz! It’s admittedly not a great figure but I had one back in the day (the version that was packed with Bonecrusher), which I lost. Now I’ve been reunited, but to my surprise after transforming it, it’s the final battle version!

So, I have gotten a couple of old movie figures as well as a recent SS figure, and all 3 have some good stuff to them.

SS Ratchet has some interesting engineering we don't talk about much. the upper thighs are a particular point, I love the internal piece that the rest of the thigh rotates around that is still visible, very cool way to do a thigh swivel.

RotF Rampage is pretty compled. Pretty limited and takes up a lot of space, but he is cool. I am glad I got him, I only need the OG Mixmaster mold and I will have every deluxe and bigger movie constructicon mold.

Cyberfire Bumblebee is a pleasant grab that looks dead awesome. I am so glad to finally have this guy.

Camshaft has been the highlight funny enough. Limited in many ways, but he is super fun to mess with. I like him a lot, for no real good reason, but he's still awesome!

I got some new old movie toys, and they are some joys.

I finally got the RotF Brawn, and while he has a lot of kibble, he is really awesome. I love this design! He feels like he goes really well with Ironhide as a smaller version of him but with a totally different design. He is loads of fun.

I also got Gears. I do own Stockade, and was thus OK not having Gears, but he was cheap dammit. And the paint work really makes him nice. I love that mold.

Also got Mudflap, I have never owned his actual RotF toy so I am glad to finally have him. Skids will be coming hopefully this weekend to complete the pair originally. They will most likely end up on the SS shelf, given they are already sort of small and I sadly doubt they will get SS toys.

RotF Gears is just perfect in incorporating a G1 homage yet isn't unrealistically colored in vehicle mode. One of my favourite "Movie G1 Toys" actually.

Hope you have fun transforming Mudflap... Most didn't.

I really enjoy all 3 of these toys for different reasons. Gears has a straightforward brawn to him and a nice color scheme. Brawn is really bulky with a really cool design. And Mudflap is just fun to mess with/.

It's mostly how his parts interfere with eachother, like the designers didn't notice the clipping in the CAD file or something, not to mention some parts have a hard time aligning properly.

It's mostly how his parts interfere with eachother, like the designers didn't notice the clipping in the CAD file or something, not to mention some parts have a hard time aligning properly.

I didn't really notice it? At least not much more than other figures i enjoy?

Mine has the back wheels as troublesome spots. Flipping the arms out is a bit of a pain, and the whole canopy, ugh...
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Nice! They really are good figures, it's unfortunate the release of the toys have to suffer because some people didn't like them on screen.

I only have the ice cream truck version, but they started yellowing and need to be cleaned up. Luckily it's only in vehicle mode and the robot parts are still crisp and bright.
