For those who have joined us on the Maximal side, here is a poll that we are doing for ambassadors. If you can't see it, PM me and I will give you the names. Remember, you can only vote once due to how it is set up here on Seibs.

The Maximals and Preds in the game now are just testers (for lack of a better term). OS switched some of us over to get the bugs out of the way now before v2 goes live.

Right now our overall numbers are severly outmatched because people haven't switched or have yet to decide which way they will go. There are technically 16 Maximals but we will be losing one to the Guardians come 2.0. The Guardian faction is the current HMW Mods and their role will be up in the air for right now.

I guess you all need to learn the one two punch of course when my L3 do it, it is on a poor L0 or L1 mech. I typically don't do arena mostly because I have to go hunting for the match after it is done because they still have yet to show up on the main page.

That is basicaly it I don't know whats in the works for the future but if you have to choose between the two I would say go Maximal the bots already have a large number and both of our beast factions could use bigger numbers.

Hey Pax, right now, aside from the alt modes, their accompanying tactics, and the map starting positions, there really aren't any set differences in the factions at least not that I can think of right now. There has been a little talk about trying to make the beast factions more unique in the future, but nothing certain on that right now as far as I know.

Here's a few things that IMHO would be important to consider if deciding between Maximal and bot. One would be that the bots are already an established faction, and the Maximals obviously aren't. That means that while both sides are making organizational decisions right now, the maximals faction is being built from the ground up. So, if you would like to be part of helping build a completely new faction then go Maximal. Also, as has already been mentioned, there is a numbers difference. So, if you'd rather have safety in numbers, then you would probably be more comfortable as a bot and you probably wouldn't be to happy as a maximal. But if you want to be in the faction where every one of your transformers is important to the fight, and each player in the faction plays an important role in the war, then being a maximal is probably right for you. There's also the matter of community. The bots are a good bunch of guys, no doubt, but if you are wanting to get more involved in the community of your faction come V2, then the maximals would have some advantages for you in that department as well. Being a smaller community means that it will be easier for a player to be noticed and to make new friends. I know you've been player for the better part of a year and may that may not matter to you, but I thought I would mention it just in case.

I hope that helps, at least a little, and I'm glad you're considering joining. You would be a most welcome addition to the team. :MAX:

Since the Maximals are a new Faction in the war, and have fewer numbers they are more of a family then us Bots. The possiblity of formering lasting friendsships with them are endless. The Bots are great friends and we will back each other up. Of course the Medics will always come and help you out if they can. (Talking about my own medic Lifeline 10 who, sometimes get Locked out right at the start of a mission. :;)) It also depends on what you want your bots to be Vehicles go with us the Bots, Or do you want them to be Animals then go with the Maximals. If you want both check the tread with the alt-modes and see which alts you like. Then go with that side. Either way the team you pick will always be there for you.
Let's do this!

As for the numbers game, Sentinel Pax, it is true that the Bots probably do out number the Maximals right now but come 2.0, that could completely change. My personal reason for joining the Maximals is that I'm a huge BW fan and as Yoru mention, I like to be on the bottom floor of something that is starting fresh. I so happen to be one of the Maximal mods so I do have some influence on how things go but seriously every Maximal voice will be heard and it will be a much smaller crowd right now. If you have any questions you don't want to ask here, you can PM me or if they are for the Bots, there is Evolution Prime, Crazyfists, and Ninja Burn. I know that both sides are electing leaders for 2.0 as well so if you want in on that, you may want to decide quickly.

This is the aforementioned alt thread, Sentinel Pax. It may help you decide which side you want based on what alt modes are available. The Maximals do have some vehicle modes and the Autobots do have some beast modes, so it's not entirely a matter of choosing one or the other.

Also, what a previous poster mentioned about numbers is the other big difference between Autobots and Maximals. As an Autobot, you're definitely going to be one of a large horde, as most casual players end up going Autobot. As a Maximal, you're going to a faction that needs more players badly. This was the key to my own choice to be Maximal, I wanted to go where I was most needed.

My team's based around my cheetah alt leader and that alt mode has fallen into the Maximal category.

So, how would I go about joining?

From what I heard, Maximals and Bots were about equal in numbers.
