Thus Kirby should be awarded the the "most awesome acquisition award" BC Region, Sept 2009.
Glad you found one, dude but.. yhea.. ouch.. I know that area is unfriendly to those of us who don't drive, but pay attention out there.
says the guy who drove a mountain bike into a parking barricade a decade back totaling the bike in the process.

Heh, thanks man.
This actually wasn't my worst longboard wipeout...maybe second worst. XD It was dark out too, I probably would've seen it if it was daytime. Ouch, that bike crash sounds pretty epic... my brother had a similar bike one, only the bike was fine, his head wasn't. Luckily he was wearing a helmet, and he got to ride in an Ambulance! XD
On the sightings front, I haven't seen it myself, but Cybertron.ca reports that TRU Broadway has 8 of the the Fallen/Megatron/Soundwave 3 packs.

Long story short, back when Central City was still Surrey Place and the Bay had just closed to move staff to Guildford, they were preparing to alter the parking lot to start the construction of Tech BC (now known as SFU Surrey Campus) I was going along a path I done hundreds of times before about 9 at night.
It was dark but lit, and instead of looking forward I looked back over my shoulder as I heard a fire truck on King George. I took a blind turn as normal without knowing that earlier that week they realigned the parking in the north side of the building. I turn to look forward a split second before i went almost full speed into a barricade. I locked the brakes, right as the front tyre hit the barricade, The bike jack-knifed, and i did a forward roll over the handle-bars, over the barricade, and onto the concrete.
I stood up and marveled that nothing was broken (thou i scraped up the top I was wearing) especially seeing I wasn't wearing a helmet. After I caught my breath and cooled off the adrenaline, I looked at the bike i had been riding.
- front tyre was bent
- forks were bent back towards the frame
- front breaks were warped and wouldn't release
- chain dislodged
- and the impact loosened other bits.
I had to pick the bike up and walk over to the Sears Auto Centre (now Best Buy) and ask to borrow some tools just to tighten some spots and loosen others so i could walk the remains back home.

Re: Official Canadian Sightings Thread Ver 2.5
Jeez, that's an epic crash, Editor. Good thing nothing major happened to you, just the bike.
Ever notice how these things seem to happen in slow motion? Last night I seemed to be just boarding along as normal, then suddenly I'm very slowly dropping towards the pavement, my Walmart bag (with Swerve) is flying out of my hand, and I'm going "What the..."... then scrape, tumble, sit for a second in disbelief, hold arm in pain, remember "Oh sh**, board!" run after it panicked, watch it roll slowly off the sidewalk into traffic, and frantically wave my arms at cars to stop before they run it over, then go "thank god..." when they don't, grab it, put it down, more pain... XD I think I made the right call going after the board before the TF, but good thing I'm not an MISB collector.
I'm definitely being a lot more strict on myself about wearing my helmet after lastnight. I don't recall hitting my head but there was definitely tumbling. I scraped both palms, bruised my left knee, then somehow when to my right thigh, right hip, right shoulder, and the most painful (and unlikely), the middle of my right forearm. For a while I thought it was fractured but I think it's just a bad bruise. Ouch. XD Stupid thing is, I had gloves with me to protect my hands for exactly such instances, but I wasn't wearing them.
Wow, half-price Scouts, nice! Maybe I'll pick up that dune buggy guy. Oh, and now Cybertron.ca is reporting more Insecticons & Perceptors at Broadway, but oh well. My Perceptor's that much more awesome having almost broken an arm to find it.

I decided not to head out to my usual haunts today, on account of the fact that, of the four figures I need to get in order to complete my movie collection (Jetfire, Devastator, Grindor and Long Haul), the first two are too expensive for me to get, and I'm not sure the latter two are even out yet.
Did anyone else go to Lougheed/Metrotown TRU, Metropolis and/or Lougheed Wal-Mart and find any of these four there?

I don't recall any of those at Lougheed, but I have seen Devastators previously at other locations. I haven't been to Metro for a couple weeks, though. I'm certain Long Haul is not out yet since he's also on my list, and if Grindor is in the same wave then the same goes for him. I haven't noticed any Jetfires anywhere at all.

The last time I went out (last weekend), I found a dungload of Devastators at both Wal-Mart and Metrotown TRU, along with a Jetfire and Wave 4 Deluxes at Metropolis. Considering the prices for both, I didn't expect them to be moving any time soon.
Long Haul and Grindor make up Wave 5 Voyagers, so when they get released, they'll be together.
Also, according to Shaun Knowler, TRU Metro has Human Alliance Sideswipe. Check it out if you can.

Sorry, I don't know, I didn't see them myself, but most likely regular TRU Leader price.
Cybertron.ca wrote:rotf gears and thrust at lougheed walmart this early this morning.
Also, an interesting new source for TFs:
Cybertron.ca wrote:88th/Nordel & Scott Rd. Save-On-Foods (7pm)
Found TF Animated on sale (prices with your save-On More card discount):
TFA Deluxes (first couple of waves?) - Prime, Black Archnia, Ratchet, Oilslick, Snarl, Prowl, Soundwave, etc. $6.99 each
TFA Voyagers - grey Shockwave, Skywarp $14.99 each.
Can't remember exact stock counts but there were quite a few left. At the back of the store on one of the small cube shaped island displays.
Considering the Voyagers were pretty hard to find, it might be worth checking out. Reminds me, I did see some TFA toys at a Rogers Video in Richmond a couple months back. There was nothing of note, but I was pretty suprised to see them there.
Forgot to post, I went to Soul Of Anime at Richmond Center over the weekend. They had a lot of stuff, but as usual it was quite overpriced. They had Encore Trailbreaker, SDCC Soundwave ($95.99, jeez), an MP Grimlock with a dent in the box for a whopping 10% off...of $250 XD, the last couple BTs, which were actually fairly reasonably-priced, and an assortment of Henkei figures, including a Rodimus for $50-60.

My friends told me they saw Deva for $88. He is already starting to have some price drops as the figures on the skid are not moving. Surprise....surprise.
Also TRU has stocked tonnes of G1 Insecticons and Perceptors. Shelf overflowing. Brought tears to my G1 loving eyes

I heard about that! Must've been a sight to behold. Reminds me of back in the day when the first Commemorative Series run was in full swing. Ahh, those were the days...
Hmm, $49.99 Leader Prime at Costco, eh? Maybe it's about time I picked one up.
Glad you got a Skywarp, Editor! I didn't think they'd ever come out here, so I was lucky enough to pick up a loose one from Robotkindgom for a decent price.

whoooo.
just stopped at wal*mart to check for joes, and found them selling universe voyagers for $10. I know they ran this promo back East but it looks like us out west is getting the action too. Hoped for Inferno, but no luck.
Grabbed Treadbolt (I hadn't even seen him in Canadian packaging before today), Dropshot, and Blockrock.
(also got the repaint that they say is Blaster, I say is going in the storage bin, that came with Blockrock)

Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Say a single Overpriced Alternator with Crappy Human Figure (TM) green durpwagon at the Brossard Walmart on the South Shore of Montreal. I can't believe these pieces of crap cost $40. The worst part is, they're $50 everywhere else!

Ages 25 & Up, comics with ball joints of steel. Updated Mondays.
Classics Prime and Cybertron Armorhide are the Bad Mother Truckers

Been saying that since they were released. They would move at $30 but not $40 and certainly not $50. No price drops on them either which is surprising since they are for the most part collecting dust. Especially the BB.
