Lougheed W*M still had Dead-end but nothing else special. (except for Joe stuff as I found a Pitt Commando)
Coquitlam TRU had 1 Devestator and that was about it for anything special.
Nothing caught my eye at all at Brentwood Zellers.
And for the sake of it, the London Drugs at Lougheed, Brentwood, 6th & 6th, & Marine had nothing of note.
Once I ran an Anime festival with over 6,000 attendees. Now... not so much.

*checks out Toys 'R Us' website, sees price for Devastator, takes a drink, and proceeds to spit said sip of drink all over the monitor*
Are they freakin serious? Nobody's gonna buy it for that price. I mean, back when Unicron came out, he came out for $20 bucks less, and six months later they were selling him for nearly two thirds the price because (surprise, surprise) they couldn't move their stock.

I heard that he should have been priced at $120 CAD but TRU had second thoughts so they matched the US price. A TRU employee/friend said that he would go on sale in October/November for around $70 CAD if there are any around. He is $99.99 US in the States as well (as noted). Target was offering an online discount which made him cost $70 US I believe. I had heard that Costco was selling him for $75 US with limited supply in the States. No news about Costco Canada getting him as yet. My friends are looking for me.
Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Yeah. Just need to see how many units TRU ordered. Sometimes it says 2000 say and then you check again and Corporate has decreased the order by 70%.

Yup. Wallie World wants stuff to move. Just like Costco. I wish we had Targets in Canada. Would have had they bought the Bay, but that would have been a bitter pill to swallow for some.

The thing is, If they had, The Bay would still be the Bay just as it is currently with American ownership. The only real change would be the re branding of Zellers into Target. Which I personally have zero issue with.

Agreed. That would have made a tonne of sense. No one would have had an issue with Zellers becoming Target IMHO.

Flipping sweet! $50 CAD is not too shabby a price either. How much for Perceptor?

Sounds about right. I checked with the local TRUs in Toronto and they are not here yet. As mentioned in past posts sometimes releases go from West to East. The East does not get these first all the time as some have said. It is nice being closer to China.

Not a bad deal on the 1/2 price under $30 CAD! So 3 cars for $12?

Yep, 3 of the Hot-Wheelsian cars for $12, and buy-one-get-one-1/2-price on figures less than $30 bucks. I guess they're trying to clear out the walls filled with crap figures. At least that's how it is at mine!

Sure sounds like it. Some much overstock of the ROTF line. Especially the bikes that most don't like. Hasbro case assortments really kill the retail market IMHO.

FRIIIIIIIIIIICK. I knew I should've gone to TRU today. Thanks for the heads up...maybe I should swing by on the way to work. I need that Perceptor!
Thanks for the heads up about the sale too, 1337W422102.

First of all, the TRU sale appears to only be for Animated figures, at least that's what the sign said at Broadway. Just an fyi in case you guys are thinking of going to pick up some movie figs.
Second, and most importantly, I don't know if I should call BS on the Perceptor & Insecticons sightings or not... I went first thing this morning and there was not a sign of them. No figures, no tag on the shelf. So either they put them out too early and took them off the shelf again, or they sold out in the first day, which is entirely possible since the douchebag who made the sighting bought 3 of the damn things as shown on the receipt. No offense if that douchebag is one of you guys, of course, it just irks the hell out of me when people scalp figures. :p Of course, it's understandable if he was helping out other collectors, that just sucks for me.
Frick. Oh well, $50 saved for now, hopefully I'll still see Perceptor another time.
