Several people have recently posted applications that are cut and paste copies of the approved profiles. While it is acceptable to use the archived profile for a character as a starting point for an application, we prefer that you make it your own in some way. At the very least, you must provide a sample post, as the rules clearly state.

Just remember that for every profile in our archives, someone worked hard to write it up. It's okay to benefit from that hard work. That's why the archives are there. What's not cool is using it as an excuse to not do the work yourself. If you apply for Mirage, We don't want to see what the previous Mirage player could do. We want to see what YOU can do. This latest group of applicants has added a great deal to an ensemble cast that has a long tradition of excellence. The staff are confident that even the most inexperienced among you have the talent to add something great to this game.

So show us your best. We look forward to seeing it.

I noticed that my profile for Bumblebee lacked a description of what he looked like. Although I am sure we all know what G1 Bumblebee looks like I thought I would add a description of his appearance in both vehicle and robot modes. Hope that is ok for the mods here and thought I would just point it out.

As of this time, I am reducing Ratchet to NPC status. He is now available for player applications. I will continue to post him as the story requires, until such time as someone successfully applies for him.

Do you want me to wait to post again for Trailbreaker since he was talking with Ratchet last about the fake humans or can I just have him leave the repair bay and do something else? Just checking. Thanks!

Are things generally moving slowly right now because the game is just getting started?

Please excuse my eagerness. I get bored around my house frequently. the old boards moved quick as lightning, I'm just a little used to that I suppose.

Yeah. Unfortunately we just got started due to the board-wide crash, so it'll be slow going for a bit.

I understand things ain't exactly moving at lightning speed but...I'll be away most of the weekend. Halloween parties, weddings, my skirt cooking dinner, etc. I'll post a pic of me as the Joker if I figure out how!

OK it's been over a week since anyone posted to the Decepticon HQ thread. Pretty soon I'm going to put that fire out myself and leave everyone behind. Ramjet can only be so patient.

Yeah, things have really slowed down around here lately. With the exception of Smokey and Bumblebee doing their thing and the small skirmish at Decepticon HQ, not much else is happening. I understand that we've just gotten things going again and people have lives off the boards, but I think we have enough players now for the game to get going at a steadier pace. I don't mean to be a pest, and I appreciate all the hard work everyone has done. It's just that I love the game, and I'd hate to see people lose interest because not much is happening. Anyway, just my two cents.

I agree with Smokescreen there. I think the way things are going is pretty good, everyone seems to have a good handle on what they are doing, it just seems that no one really posts a lot. A week or more can go by and nothing, or very little happens. Again I understand not everyone has the same amount of time on their hands at work and home as I do, but it seems like to me that this RPG is at risk of just dying out due to lack of interest from people posting. Which is the case would be a real shame since I am having a lot of fun with this RPG and interacting with some great roleplayers.

Agreed heavilly! If people could take five minutes to check once a day, things would get off the ground very quickly! I've had way to much fun here over the past years to see this thing sink into obscurity. Just once a day check...not to much to ask right?

I was seriously busy for a while, but now I'm free again (and don't particularly anticipate getting tied up again in the near future). Not that my character's much help, but FWIW.

Generally speaking, I love the pace of this game. I have played in other Transformers rpg's and I have to say those ones were not fun at all. It wasn't helped by the fact that most of the posters were basically illiterate. Grammar and spelling mistakes abound. The pace of this game is great because it gives you time to think of an articulate reply. All my best writing has come out in this game.

Where I tend to get frustrated is when I leave a cue to someone else and then I never hear back, like Ramjet putting out the fire. I tend to try and interact with everyone else as much as possible, so it's not much fun when you're waiting for a response so you can do your next post. I figure waiting over a week is enough time to wait, then take matters into your own hands. Not trying to step on toes, just keeping things moving.

Also was thinking we could get Trailbreaker and Brawn going on a mission. Maybe go 4x4ing in Colorado or Montana. They seem like natural allies, seeing as how they've got similar alt modes. Plus could be fun to play up Breaker's defensive nature against Brawn's offensive side. Should be some good tension there. :grin:

I am going out of town for work for the weekend and I am uncertain if I am going to have an internet connection. So if you guys need Wheeljack or Bumblebee to do something over the weekend it might have to wait.
