I was just wondering, but that guy who posted as Seaspray, did he apply and get accepted or did he just walk in and make an IC post without applying?

Hey man! Always good to see someone coming back, even if just for a peak. As for what you've missed, one or two board crashes and RPG reboots to go with them, lol. Feel free to look around and ask questions.

Yeah, i did notice the RPs shifted from G1 to IDW. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I've taken a shine to the latest Transformers series (oh, and a rather big point, which generally involves my user name

Yesterday I delivered my resignation to the RPG staff here at Seibertron.

Unfortunately, for some time I have been unable to maintain the level of quality and consistency I feel this game deserves. So I have decided to bow out gracefully and set my house in order, so to speak.

This game means a lot to me. I've made some very good friends here, including my girlfriend. I'm sorry to be leaving. But I wish you all, old friends and new, only the best.

Sorry to hear that you have to go Tas. It has been an absolute pleasure the play the game with you. I for one will miss your writing talents. You had some pretty good posts along the way. All the best in the future. Perhaps you will be able to return to the fold someday.

Tasbirk's and unfortunately Silverblade's (do correct me if I am wrong Silver) decision to leave the game does generate some new opportunities to others.

For we have now four open fan favorites that can be applied for. We are now taking applications for Autobots Jazz and Ironhide and Decepticons Skywarp and Soundwave.

Sadly That is correct I am officially resigning as well.

You guys have been wonderful to me and fantastic friends. I thank you for all the posts we've done together.

Due to the intense demands of my studies I haven't had time to write or even post. Perhaps someday I will return, possibly summer vacation or after graduation. But until then I say adieu.

Well to be fair, i won't have the amount of commitment power i used to have. Final Year at University and i don't have the amount of time i used to have. But again, back in the day this was one of the longer standing Rps i took part in and it was good to me. But still, we'll see what happens.

I'm assuming that Hardhead hasn't been opened up for play yet? (Oh come on, as if no one saw THAT coming :p)

Just out of curiosity, are Ironhide and Soundwave receiving orders from Cybertron? I had assumed that the leaders of the earth forces were the mouthpieces of the mods. Perhaps I am wrong on this assumption. I would be interested in playing Soundwave, but I have a full roster now and I'd be reluctant to give up the characters I have.

Well, technically no one is receiving orders from Cybertron since it's a dead, abandoned planet in this continuity. As far as being mod mouthpieces, Starscream is the commander of the 'cons on Earth and he's played by Longshot who's not a mod. So, anyone can tryout for Soundwave and Ironhide if they want to. Although, I'm sure if a player of a leader character wants to give a big command that affects the overall game, they'd have to okay it with the mods first. I'm guessing, anyway. :mrgreen:

Actually chain of command is something I've been wondering about. Since I am playing Bumblebee, who is the Autobot second in command, I was just wondering how far can I go with giving orders, permission for other characters to do stuff, and things like that? I know Ironhide runs the show for the 'Bots, but I was just wondering what sort of stuff can BB tell the others without having to check back with Ironhide?

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but I've never played a character in a text based RPG before like this where I have held any sort of position of authority.

Actually, poor Jazz would be the second in command of the 'bot Earth unit were he in condition to perform his duties. Nevertheless, in this particular scenario, the Autobot unit on Earth is so small that it is better that Bumblebee works tightly with both Ironhide and Jazz at least with everything that could put any of the Earth 'bots to danger. And if there's something you'd like to do but aren't too sure if it is plausible for you to call such action out - you can always throw a PM or IM message to me, Dev or Ember.

Hot Rod I believe is technically next in the chain of command, although people shouldn't be too obsessed with the chain of command going down too far. After the top couple of people it doesn't make too much of a difference. Don't worry about 4th and 5th in command.

Well, the way i'm looking at it, with the absense of Jazz in the command structure Hot Rod and Bumblebee have about equal standing, but for different reasons.

I'm playing it as the command structure for the Autobots aside from the top level being rather fluid: command ebbs and flows depending on what's necessary, and what abilities are needed for a mission/operation.

As an aside, mods fine with me rolling in Hardhead, or rather we get all the existing roles filled in before we expand a little with the canon characters?
