is there any rule about "retiring" a character? if at some point in the future i wanted to run a different character, but not necessarily a third one for example, would it be allowed

You would drop the character. For canons that means they are made available for other characters to play. For fanmade characters they are kept in the archives but only the person who created them may play them.

I don't know about Paper_Magi, but my guy Smokescreen is currently firing shots at Runabout in an attempt to help Arcee. You could always have Runabout respond to Smokey's attack.

i was trying to just post for bout and muck at at the same time. i'll post some thing in a little bit for "smokey" to deal with

Didn't I warn you about needlessly having your two characters gang up on one character for no reason? This is one of the reasons why, so you aren't completely dependent on one other person posting, not to mention the borderline powergaming of it

Assume Arcee goes down and move on to fight someone else. If her player comes back then we will work something out.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the wife and I will going on a mini vacation to the shore this weekend, so I won't be able to post again until next week. We'll be packing up tomorrow and leaving on Friday. I might be able to write something Sunday night when we get back, but it's unlikely. Just FYI.

THe con roster could use a few more character names, just to give new people the opportunity to play. Dead End, Drag Strip, Wild Rider, and Breakdown, or most of the constructicons could be added.

some people feel intimidated by the few characters left on the list (i think 3 jets, head strong, and reflector are left).

The bots could use a few names just to balance numbers, but i'm supprised alot of canon characters are left.

I'm currently searching for a different character. A smart con if i can find one.

Sunstorm would be considered a fanmade.

Other characters not on the list are available to play as long as their alternate modes can be compatible with the Earth setting. We have had players with Constructions and Stunticons before. I don't put them on the list because it gets extremely long and I'd rather personally focus on the characters that are on it, but I have no objection to people play other characters.

Well, while I don't think we need to list every possible character, I have to admit it's useful seeing which characters would likely best fit the setting.

I mean, I have a few characters in mind I'd like to play, but they'd be useless right now, and since we normal players don't know where the storyline is going, it's hard to know what type of characters would become relevant and when.

If people can't be bothered to read the rules or even the game summary or history then I don't particularly want them playing.

Hey fellas, how about some help?

I've been pondering an idea for a custom character I want to eventually apply after I've had a few more months of play time on my belt. My character idea is essentially an Autobot who was once a journalist (or whatever passes for one) on Cybertron before the war. What I'm having a hard time with however is determining what his current function and alternate mode is.

I figure he'd be either like an intelligence agent or spy. I plan the alternate mode to be a news van, but I'm not sure what cars are made like that these days. Any suggestions?

*chuckles* I actually have an OC I created for kicks elsewhere that's a former gossip journalist who works as a spy... he's a cassettibot, though.

I'm not sure what specific model a newsvan would be, but Google Images has plenty of pics of newsvans... maybe someone could eyeball a matching model from those?

Maybe you should check out the character Slamdance, the combined mode of Grand Slam and Raindance. He is specifically mentioned as being a former journalist and his current function is intelligence coordinator.

Hye guys. I was wondering what's up with Ratchet? I've been waiting the past couple of days for him to respond so I can get moving some more. There's another player who's char intro is waiting on me and I can't do anything until Ratchet responds to Prowl.

Well, I have plenty of characters I might enjoy playing, but if I pick one that's suited to one type of storyline and we end up with another type of storyline they don't apply to...

I mean, I think someone like Nightbeat or Slamdance might be cool to play, but there's no point in playing them if there's not going to be a need for an investigator or a journalist, is there? So this is where a list or notes on what types of characters are needed from the mods comes in handy.
