I'm trying to put together an original combiner with PotP Inferno at its core. I've got the limbs planned out, but I want to give him a "sixth bot that turns into chest piece" like Defensor and Menasor.

What Legend-or-so class figure could I creatively mis-transform into cool-looking chest armor? Any ideas?

Would Legends CW Thundercracker\Skywarp work? I've seen him successfully turned into a chestpiece for Motormaster\Optimus. Could he do the same for Hot Spot\Inferno? Does anyone have both of those molds, and could test it for me? It looks like I could still pick him up pretty cheap if it works, but I don't have any figures from that mold to check myself...

Why not get CW Legends-class Wreck-Gar? Or is Inferno not compatible with the Legends Groove mold

I don't want the Legends motorcycle mold for two reasons. One, I want my combiner to be as different-looking from Defensor as possible, and two, I'm already using deluxe Groove, and two different-sized motorcycles would be a bit odd.

Update, on the off chance anyone cares.
I took a chance on CW Thundercracker, (he was ten bucks on BBTS), and with the slightest of alteration, he works like a charm. You just gotta drill a small hole in his crotch to match the intended-for-motorcycle peg on front of the combiner, and stick the bigger chest pegs into Thundercracker's fists.
