Actually yes and no. Did they know they would go bankrupt? Maybe. Know they where going to off Pontiac? Pretty much. I read about them having that as a possibility since they ended importing the GTO's from Holden(about 2006ish). Killing of Jazz may have been because of it. Strong possibility.

How did you get to be a moderator on this site? You can't read. You can't stay on topic. You have tried to make me look stupid with a few comments like the one about "them" not being in TF2, and yet where just wrong. I have asked you to please stay on topic. Lol. If you want to talk politics and cars at least have some facts. Stating your opinion like it is fact in a discussion is allowed to be debated. I proved you wrong in every argument but you still claim fact. I mean you adamantly declared that HUMMER is GM, then you say "Oh I meant before the movie", if you are going to state such as fact, state it correctly.

Plus I never said they weren't GM, so why are you stating something that isn't true again?

But if you are going to post something and state it as fact then you need to provide something to substaniate that fact otherwise it is opinion up for debate.


Now to stay on topic we told you a few times WHY the cars are 90% gm cars, you dont have to like it and that is your OPINION however it has been proven a few times in interviews why the cars are from the brands they are.

No conspiracies, just cars in exchange for advertising.
As for other manufacturers being used... Ya. Your right others could have been used. But you know what? GM gave donated the most money/vehicles to be used, so its only natural that they were given the hero roles or first dibs on roles they wanted. Other who participated were left with what was left over.

First off, don't tell people what they can, or can't talk about. You are not a moderator and its not your place to be acting like one.
Second, no one, at any time has strayed off topic. They have only commented about thoughts/opinions of others concerning the original topic. Namely you. You started with talking about some dumb conspiracy that since military was used, that's why GM cars were chosen. I mean really.... How long have you been doing forum debates? You can't expect to make such an acusation with some kind of rebulte. Especially when its been proven that your "theory" is false.

And no,i'm not upset that GM cars were used. why? Cause for the most part, they were Bitch'n rides. TF brought the new Camaro into the public spotlight more than a few car mags ever could. And the company that build Ratchet is now producing him on a full production scale rescue vehicle. I saw a variation myself at the Cops west show in Ontario CA. last week. Even took a pic. with it! What does all this mean? Jobs, and people buying more product.

See the area above I bolded. If you state what you think and you are wrong, then people are allowed to debate it. This is why this is a discussion forum. And this is also why you received a warning. If you are going to start threads and state incorrect things that people want to state correctly, that is allowed. If you think you can tell people to stop discussing it because you don't like their responses, well I have a problem with that.

I just noticed this. Wrong and wrong. I was "warned" because I said a 2 word statement that I have discussed with another moderator. They where also warned for what you yourself are doing.

Nothing was proved wrong. You say I gave opinion, well thats exactly whats being given back. As far as me telling people what they can and can't talk about in my topic...well I can say whatever I want. Obviously no one has to listen. I was just trying to get back on topic. If I continued to debate this further I would most likely get banned. Because I would state pages of fact that back everything up I said(aside from a few things that are my opinions or conlusions) and be a complete d!ck, because stupid people deserve that when they throw there opinion around trying to prove someone wrong.

That's just the thing. All any of us were asking were some facts, or preferable links to info you are claiming as being "fact". All this could have been avoided if you just provided a few links to back up your "theory".
And that's another thing. You said yourself that all you have is a theory of why GM cars were used as autobots. So even if the military did have a stake in Gm before the the first movie, it still wouldn't prove your theory. It wouldn't even support it. But either way, i would honestly like to see some proof other than wikipedia on this.

As for some facts about GM cars used in the movies...
Watch the special features of the first DVD. It states that GM gave Bay free Rome to use any vehicle of his choosing.
