:michaelbay:

Hehe, I've already got it along with an original G1 Sixshot and the repaint/retool of him done for the Brave series :P.

I'd rather buy Hexatron instead of brick reissue Sixshot.

I have a soft spot for that toy because I had him as a kid and he has one of my favorite bot modes ever. Like I said, there are just a bunch of small things that bug me about Hexatron. I wish it wasn't so and with small tweaks here and there I'm sure I'd love him, but as it stands right now I'm just not interested in him enough to buy him.

I'm interested to hear what those small things are - just out of curiosity, of course.

I'd be worried about getting off topic, but the powers-that-be tend to allow tangents :)

The head, the shoulders, the feet, the colors (obviously), the hips; and all of that is just my problems with the bot mode (the mode I'd want to display him in). The other modes have their issues too, but they don't bug me as much.

I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm just as curious as others. I see the areas of concern you have, and having him in hand, I don't see much for issues in those areas. Are you looking for more of a G1 toy head, anime head, or different size? What about the shoulders bug you? Etc. If you're willing to share, I'd love to hear the opinion.

Thanks!

Hexatron's head is too round. the Antenna ears on top of the helmet are too short. The removable faceplate makes no sense. The Two guns are too narrow and thin.

I disagree with, but understand, your objection to the head & guns.

But the removable faceplate? Why is a built in bonus (no one is forcing you to remove it - you can keep it as-is) suddenly a negative?

The head's too small and round. I wanted it more elongated like the G1 toy. The shoulder bits look too much like claws or something, which is a major departure from the G1 toy and animation model. The forearms are too fat, making his hands look really small. The feet are too long and flat. The hips look strange with just the rounded pieces connecting to his body. Some hip flaps would have helped in that area a lot. I don't like the way they reshaped the wings either. I know they did it for gun mode, and while it really does improve that mode, it ruins the wings for me in all his other modes because now they just look like a pair of gun handles hanging off of him.

Thank you, sir! :) I can see your points on those aspects. I don't really agree with them, but I can definitely respect what you are seeing.

Much like the Classics/Generations line, I see MMC's reformatted as modern takes on the toys. So, those points don't bother me, and some of them I think are actually visually appealing (like the claw shoulders.) I never had the G1 toy, so that doesn't affect my opinion.

I agree with the head. I don't agree with the Shoulders,Forearms & wings. As I always thought the 1987 Sixshot toy was a bit undersculpted and bland in certain areas on the toy.

Sure, I see it the same way. It's not that I mind a different (or even wildly different) take on the character. For example, I loved what Hasbro did with Warpath. I just don't like the particular choices MMC made with the figure. It didn't need to be totally G1, but the particular designs for those pieces really kinda bug me and add up to a figure not worth paying for.

These parts look small. Hopefully it's not a downsized version. The diecast parts seems absurd as this will probably raise the KO price.
I do like the newer robot head. When is this getting released. If it's priced around $70 & ebay has it,I might get one.

Indeed, given recent discussions in other threads about whether MMC's Hexatron is MP or Classics scale, I think there would be a market for a smaller version.

Not me, but I could see others being interested. *peers at Rated X*

I think Hexatron would need to be at least an inch taller to be MP-scale... I view Quakewave as the proper MP-scale analog. But my views on this topic are well known, so I won't rehash them in detail here.

Also, I recall the point of this project WAS to downscale Hextaron... so we'll see.

So has it been shrunk down to voyager scale or is it just a KO of something everybody already has ?

The parts do look tiny. This might be a camera zoom focus thing.

I kinda want this to be regular Hexatron size.

I MIGHT be interested in a voyager sized figure. Hex is just too big in every pic I see him in, voyager or Ultra size (at most) is where I'd like him.

It's just too bad this isn't made by MMC. That's all I'll say on that subject.

I just wish Clonedroid would announce a size & price fot this already. It's been months since this was revealed. This has a release date of March 2014. It's going to be hard to compete with MMC's Hexatron's low price.

They're KOing the whole thing, but changing it a bit. Adding an extra joint at the knee and changing some sculpting.

It doesn't look like they've shrunk it, but it'd be nice to get more info. Seeing parts are nice and all, but how about some more substancial information?

shrinking it would be nice. Even so not sure if I want the same toy twice. as of now I have him fighting MP Rodimus in my display. I just can't put in with classics hes the same size as my FP Bruticus. Also crazy is we have representations of the 3 phase 6ers and they're scaled hilariously (Hasbro Black Shadow, Botcon Gigatron, MMC Sixshot)
