Club Exclusive Image and listings for Classics 2.0!
Re: Club Exclusive Image and listings for Classics 2.0!
From what i see on the drawing, i prefer the version from the early concept. I don't really like bots with a car roof on their chests.
But oh well, i'll be waiting for a free-to-see picture.

I would agree with you and I have seen the picture.
Truth be told, I'm a bit disappointed with Sunstreaker. Hopefully the production reality is better than the pic.

I'm not a member of the collector club and there's not much chance of me joining. So what if I don't get to see the exlusive picture of Sunstreaker i'll just wait for it. The rest of the classics sound great I can't wait to see them but i'll wait for them.

From what I have heard about the twins you could "technicly" transform Sunstreaker the same way as Sideswipe...
That would solve your car roof as chest problem

Yes, I'm pretty sure the twins share the same mold - just with different heads and with the lower legs and torso rotated differently between the two.

[Edit:less pissed off now that i have seen a leaked pic]
I don't like the ears and the heelless feet which will make himm fall over.
Also, the name change sucks,i would've accepted mega octane, but tankor? they disgraced the name of Rhinox with that. guess i'll have to find a new nickname now. Back to "movefastor" it is.

As for the whole club stink, meh. I feel the club is a ripoff for those outside the US, and have no intention of pay for it. And i sure as hell couldnt care less about having to wait a week longer for some pictures. What I will say is, the Club should be quite caperble of telling it's memebers what it is doing without seibertron's help. I see this news item as nothing more than an unnecersary excercise in offcialy sacntioned flame starting.

well, i cobbled a pic up...not quite the Sunstreaker photo you'd expect to see, but hey - at least it won't cost ya ninety bucks.

and frankly, you ain't missing much. for a Club exclusive pic, it's pretty underwhelming. so there now.

Yes, Mega Octane would've been a better name choice. I can live with Tankor as the official name though. His character was excellent once Rhinox regained consciousnous.
And again yes, putting up an exclusive thing as news, to a site far more populated by non-members than members, really is asking for flaming.
People get touchy when a group act 'high and mighty' so to speak. Do we not all bleed the same?

To the production, I think the issue is that the car picture is incorrect in some way. Time will tell.
Yea, the Club is a tough pill to take for those outside the US. Due to the shipping costs etc and a lack of mailing options, non-US members have to pay a lot just to participate.
Now, not in regards to anything Redimus said, there is an interesting discussion around everything exclusive related that always boils down to cash...

I was wondering why i never joined the collectors club and this just reminded me of one of the reasons.. No way in hell im joining a site to see a picture of a toy, and to make people join there club to see there toys is more stupid.. I dont buy something without seeing it first. I would truely concider joining the club if they would show EVERYONE what these toys look like and not hide them from view and make you join in order to see them.. Thats just idiotic.. Would you buy a car or house without seeing it first ?? I highly doubt it..
Are all the new Classics going to be sold through this craptastic club ? I hope not.

I think this has gotten to the point where people are losing track of why they're supposed to hate the Club. It was just a picture of the new Universe Sunstreaker, the figure wasn't for sale early through the Club or anything. Plus, it has been said many times and many ways that Club membership entails much more than just an early photograph of a toy.
This is why we can't have nice things, or enjoy the nice things we do have. No matter what, everyone has to complain. I don't know, I actually like Transformers, so I'm not purposely critical or blatantly offended by Hasbro and its machinations. I'm just glad I live in a world where I can have Transformers. I am a Club member. I also pay a lot of money annually for Hasbro merchandise. Does that entitle me to free Club membership? Not any more than saying that since I bought a Transformer in 1985 entitles me to a free Transformer today. But hell, I'm bad with numbers, so maybe it does.
Some people complaining about the Club, these guys complaining about how 'terrible' MP Prime is, complaining aplenty. Do you guys like these toys, or is it just fun to complain about everything?

Re: Club Exclusive Image and listings for Classics 2.0!
I really, really don't understand all of the whining. I don't think anybody in the club joined so that they can see a picture. I joined for the discounts on the club toys, Botcon, the freebie, and the magazine.
Plus everybody else is going to see the picture soon anyways. Members just get to see it a little sooner, big freakin' deal. And I never realized that having an extra $40 made me privileged, maybe I'll start wearing a monocle.

Note that this doesn't apply to international fans, that's an entirely different situation.

I am reminded of Ratchet and his transformation into the Wahhhmubulance.
Look, Mr. Iobviouslyhaveavoidedreadinganyandeverythingstatedpreviouslyinthisthread.
Club members are getting to see the pictures early. How hard is that to understand? Tell me. There is no math involved. This shouldn't be a problem.
You will get to see the pictures as soon as they get an official release by Hasbro or when you look to Google Images. Whichever comes first.
I wish, for the bloody life of me, that Classics were actually exclusives handed out by the Shogun of Harlem.

Anytime you can reference the adventures of Bruce Leroy is a good time.
Pic synopsis even though I haven't seen it.
Yellow car that resembles a lamborghini with some styling cues grom g1. Oh yeah it turns into a robot.
Get that mental image in your head and you arent missing out.
Quit whining because you are excluded when you don't buy the membership.
Now kiss my converse.

Well worth the subscription fee's

Anyways, i just saw the picture and im not even a member HAR HAR!
Im surprised actually...how...amazingly....normal he looks. The head is really weird too...whats with those "ears".
Nice homage to Alt Hotrod/Mirage on the legs, but the overall thing is really plain looking. Cool alt mode though.
Better then anything the animated line has to offer though thats for sure.

Don't try to play it off like that.
What you're doing is misrepresenting the Club and trying to make it look bad.
Do you even know what it is you get for the $40 membership fee?
It's not just a first look at pictures, but I'll hang back. If you are not aware of what the Club membership offers, I'm sure people will be happy to tell you.
All the same, slamming on the organization who goes to great lengths to satisfy Transformers fans, specifically adult fans, is bad policy for you, for me, and for everyone else who wants to see Transformers continue to build as a franchise.
So step up and make a statement which demonstrates you understand what your money pays for with the club, or, be snide about it elsewhere. Because frankly, any adult Transformers collector or fan should not only be happy that the club exists, but they should encourage it as it is one of the few venues we have to specifically request figures and ideas we might otherwise never see.
sho nuff.
