well, I tried to find the crying kid picture CP has been known to post, but I couldn't. so this is the next best thing I could find.

anyways... this seems to be the general theme of this thread and the toys forum in general lately....

agreed RodimusConvoy way too much crying in this thread over nothing.

makes a person why they bother to come to Seibertron to discuss a news item if it's going to just turn into a whinefest.

I don't know how to really take all these children bitching and crying about the club.

On one hand it's pretty pathetic and juvenile.

On the other hand CP's having a ball mocking the crap out of them and pointing out their stupidity.

And Pete confirmed that all of the 1st wave classics are new molds! So there is no worry about Powerglide being a repaint. He also said that what we are looking at is a painted sample, there may still be some tweaks.

btw, is the engine/gun piece misplace in the car pic? Why the hell is it on the roof?

It looks like the rocket pack has 2 tabs on it.(Only 1 is visible, so I guess I could be wrong, but it really looks to be the correct size to fit into those molded slots on the roof)

On the alt mode pic ... it's kinda just resting on top of the car.

This makes me think that the roof/chest is backwards? If that thing is supposed to be a rocket pack for bot mode, why would it attach to his chest? I guess there could be another hookup for it on the other side ...

Rotating the slots around to his rear side, and having the front end as his chest wouldn't be very G1 accurate. It would represent the prototype picture, though. I dunno ... either way, having it on the roof for alt mode is kinda teerarded! It does set up the ability for a torso rotation in the future. Sideswipe perhaps ...

Not Torso, just head.

Imagine turning the figure backwards. Now turn his legs so the wheels are not the knees, but the outside leg.

It now looks almost identical to the sketch, which was a yellow Sideswipe.

so are we gonna be able to see the rest of the pics on friday?

Okay, just saw the image (never got around to looking) and I don’t see what people mean by looking average or not that great, he looks just like what I wanted him to, a continuation of first classics. Definitely getting this guy when he and the rest of classics come out. Also, is he misstransformed in the pic?

i think Sonray and i are in the same boat, both of us are internationals, so $40 doesn't apply to us, sadly.

though looking at Club guidelines, i understand that part of the cost is because they have to ship out the newsletters and stuff.

while this is nice and good (and yes, i like getting newsletters and stuff, and a free toy yearly ain't so bad) $89.00 is still too steep for such meager offerings. maybe if we got in the $50-$60 range, there'd be less people complaining about this. and that's the bottom line; i'm sure there are people out there who (and had paid) the $89 price, but for the rest the cost is relatively unreasonable, mainly because US collectors can have them at $40 (and canucks $20 less than us! ).

on topic, it sucks being an international and having to pay those high fees. darn shame, that Transtech comic was really looking good, and i just love the EVA-looking Silverbolt and Cheetor, much better than their BM models.

but until the club can find a way to lower those fees and offer more quality offerings for the bucks that we international collectors have to pay, i'll reserve judgment against the Club.

From what I have heard about the twins you could "technicly" transform Sunstreaker the same way as Sideswipe...

So are you just angry because of the name change then? Hasbro may have lost the rights to use the name Octane. Besides you can still call him Octane, in fact I think alot of people are.

Octane is now Tankor? That's okay. Just call him Octane. I do that with classics Rodimus. I call him Hot Rod. no big.

I saw it. (>_<) He's cool looking but his arm are too skinny looks and the head looks weird. But he stil AWESOME!

I wasnt offended by it...and there hasnt been many posts after it by other users for someone to bitch about it and go running to the mods.

Looks like the mods are becoming a little too uptight it seems.

Anyway whats so wrong about Tankor? To me it makes as little sense as calling a TF that can turn into a jet Octane. What does "Octane" have to do with a jet? Nothing that i can think of, just like Tankor doesnt so no biggie. They are your toys once you own them so call em whatever the deuce you like, just like i do with every incarnation of "Rodimus", i call him Hot Rod unless the figure is Rodimus Prime.

Hmm...kind of a letdown. I like it, but at the same time, I thik it could look a lot better, especially the feet. The head sculpt looks good except his "horns" seem a bit skimpy. Also not sure why his engine is on the roof of his car mode...I'll have to wait to see more pics of this one. It isn't bad, just not quite what I was expecting. Hope Prowl looks a little better.
