that set runs $80+ MIB on Amazon. I don't need it MIB though. It's on my Botcon list, but I bet that is a better deal.

You think, if I bite, it would be cheaper to piggy back to your house, and then to me?

No, it wouldnt be. Its not cheap to ship within canada. Cheapr than to the states, yes, but I would still be shipping it to you as he would, so it would come out to the same + you'd have to cover him shipping it to me. He's also charging in american so i'd spend an extra bit on the exchange.

FoC Kickback
I think that completes oC molds for me. I think the only thing I don't have is Starscream, and that's O.K.

Now what me and the fantastic Cramtastic DIDN'T discuss was this...
Me and everyone else discussed it though. When Cramburger heard I had no condors in my life he decided to share this official one.
Cram, you are champion among men, and I thank you from the bottom of my old cob web encrusted heart. :-D
Anytime my friend!!

Had I known you didn't have FoC Starscream..........

And SWEET MERCY!! I leave for HOURS and two pages appear?!

I, too, have a list also, as well!

MP28, MP29, MP30 (all pre-paid, just waiting for them to ship! Hooray TFL!!)
MP22
TW Fortress Maximus, Galvatron, Blurr, Scourge, Chromedome, Powermaster Optimus, Wheelie, others.
Cloud & QTF Hot Rodimus
DX9 Carry (I just need to buy him!!!!!)
Reprolabels!

If I stick to that list (shopping smartly), I think I'll be under $1000 for the year on TFs. Maybe.

EDIT: MP28, MP29, MP30 were all last years budget

carytheone wrote:Will, your list is so nice, focused and concise. I need to get that way. Right now I'm just a leaf in the wind gravitating towards what ever shiny catches my eye.

I had my eye on the prize with my prime collection and I'll try to do the same with TF:A once I get a foot hold of what's out there and find what I want.

I'm a toy collector first and don't really have much attachment to the media. With the exception being prime, rid and the comics. So usually the toyline's general vibe gets me hooked first, then I seek out the media. That's how I got into prime.

I was like that too. I am a toy collector first. I never watched RID (and never will) but you bet your swett ass that when I saw there was a combiner made up of 3 bullet trains (that also connected to oneanother), I put it on my list.

When I first got into this hobby, what I sought out was very specific. What I wanted was a good transformation with alt mode integration in robot mode, yet for it to be sleek as well (surprisingly, both go hand in hand), and new robot mode detail in robot mode while having a nice kibble free vehicle mode. The best example of a toy that gives you all that would be the animated line such as Lockdown and Megatron (wh cheats a bit) as well as Cyberverse Prime Ironhide, Alternators Windcharger and Universe Cyclonus. It's super hard to have both vehicle integration and new robot parts, so I conceded to simply either or as long as both modes were dynamic and sleek. So that lead me to the entirety of the animated line, the prime line and most of the cybertron/galaxy force line.

So in the end, while I have lots of TFs, they are all based on these notions of wanting the most interesting TFs and best ones around, hence why I can make the lists. The sad part is that I end up with very little average and crappy tfs. So character specific lists are harder to do then just Best Planes or Best Boats.

I thought this but we shoot for the same stuff. I like when the alt mode bits integrate into the robot well. Like when it makes sense like a car hood chest. I like them to look like they could be what they turn into. I don't care much for panels and such hanging off, but who does.

I started wanting the most complex stuff I could find. Like action figure rubiks cubes. Then I started to really appreciate the simpler smaller boys that offered easier quick play. I still rarely touch the more complicated ones. I was only getting one version of a mold until CW happened.

I want to refocus this year and start being more selective again. I just haven't found my compass yet.

People really just don't get your lists. Just like people don't get game reviews. I feel that people see these things as some sort of official endorsement or end all be all final statement.

They're just the opinion of the author unless it states "website X's official top 10 list of X", but then it's still just a small group's say on the subject.

I guess that's why I've drifted away from game sites. Too much negativity and flame wars. I skim the headlines, read the article and run like hell from the comment section. I've mentioned this before, but because of my experiences in other sites I didn't know seibertron was forum based for years. I'd hit the front page read what interests me and move on.

I dont mean to say I am as good as, but I really see my lists as being more of te quivalent of the year end list of top games from Angry Joe or Jum Sturgess or TotalBiscuit.

And by the way, I much preffer those lists than those of IGN or some other site I forget (that favoured X-Com way too much). The lists of one individual are much better because you at least get a sense of the individual's taste. I know the zero unctuation guy likes moreold school games and thats ok. So he recomends a two bit indy game and I'm like, cool, makes sense, but its not for me. But if he recomends Saints Row 4, then woah, that game must be good since it could even reach someone who's usualyl not into these.

In a way a biased list is much preffered since you can right away compare yourself. You dont have a blank page to stare at wondering what somethign is being compared to for it tobe deemed good. My shockwave list for instance, was really about the robot mode with the vehicle mode being more cybertronian and spacey. The goal was clearly that I deemed a good shockwave mold to deal with his otherworldiness. So it shouldnt surprize people that a mold where he turns into a car (that was used for autobots) would not enter my mind.

I'm the same way. I have a handful of game reviewers that I felt had similar taste as myself or at least I understood what they liked and why from reading their articles for years.

Like if you guys say "hey, this is a cool figure" then I think "hey, this must be a cool figure" and is at least worth my time to look into.

I've fallen out of the loop on the game sites so I check IGN's # score because I know how they roll (even if I feel they have some bad biases), then I check destructoid's review and read it if it one of the folks I know or if it's a game I'm interested. In may got skim metacritic and see if any of my usual haunts jump out at me. I've been gaming so long all I really need is some screen shoots and a quick check to make sure it's not total crap or broken. As they say at destructoid "hate of of 10".

So yeah, I agree spot on with what you said.

Like how they beleive a failed game is a 5.0 and not a 1.0 ? Meaning a mediocre game gets a 7? Yeah, not a big fan of those guys.

Its not a tough collection if you go by mold. Just Big Convoy (who is very affordable), MP 01, Galaxy Force Prime and MP 10.

But..completeness!!!

Or I need two bots. Noice!

Although, so many toy Matrices. Matri? Matrixes? Plural of Matrix? Does Galvatron count from TF:TM (re:D62S?!) Keeping it G1. Or Pre-1 if we count the Beast Wars. Yeah, coined it. Pre-1. Forever.
