Glad you found that at a price you can live with, Iron.
Sure is a slick looking dude. Love the way the nose cone seemingly telescopes into the chest. Makes for a really cool robot detail. The jet is super cool looking too.
So is this the current design state of Macross, or have things changed since this design?

Things have actually changed a lot. This is an older design. Macross Plus came out in the mid to late 90's. There have been several different series since then.

I don't understand your signature picture, isn't that CW Leader Ultra Magnus? Why isn't he towering over Legends Optimus Prime, Legion Jazz and Bluestreak and Keychain Bumblebee as much as I thought he would be?

Hey Rainmaker! That Magnus is A 3rd party guy from Iron Factory. They do a whole line of Legends scale figures that are just the bee's knees.
Thanks Cary! I will be happy to deliver it to it's home... right after I watch it!

I KNOW!!!
I saw him last night at BBTS while ogling over the Notsun Bros. His pre-order is already sold out!
I love it, but I can't find a reason. If I hadn't gotten the Magnus I would pounce on it. Only reason I can think of right now is maybe he wouldn't have two left hands?
Also I think there are a few other IF things I'd like to get first, like...
Soundwave and Perceptor set
Blitzwing
And this dude...

SOUL REAPER!
That lil Powered Convoy certainly has my eye. Maybe he would be just enough to scratch my Dia-Itch and I could sleep better over not getting the MP.

Maybe what you need to do is change your strategy. Whenever you see an Ultra Magnus, DON'T buy it. DM/Powered Convoy will come eventuallyCobotron wrote:I KNOW!!!

I was eyeing that Soundwave set just last night myself. That looks like a nice group.

I'm not worried. IF keeps reissuing these guys. The Brothers are already a reissue, or maybe a restock?carythetron wrote:Guess where Dia-Jigga City isn't sold out at?
Soul reaper is so much like the Generations figure of Sky Shadow, but I love that dude, and my Legions/Legends collection could use some more Con baddle asses. did I mention his red wings are transluscios? That SW/Pr set is dope because it fills some nice holes in my L/L line up too. we need a good L/L Soundwave, and those caminionettes are so cute and cool. The main fig's alt modes are a little twatevs, but hey, ya know.

Ya. When my first daughter was born, and I had to give up my 'Tron at the time, I only had room to diplay a fraction of stuff. It was right at the time Cyberverse hit. Those two figs really cemented my love for this scale. Especially that Commander Prime. They ARE the cool.itscramtastic wrote:So many awesome tiny figures.

Sometimes less is more. The cyberverse and current legends class are a great mix of simple with just enough articulation. Their size hits a sweet spot that feels more toy-like than action figure. I find that when I play with the smaller guys I have more of that childlike wonderment; my imagination has to fill in the blanks.

That's why Swerve remains the favorite Transformers toy I own. He is really easy to transform, articulated, looks cool, and he is fun. I can literally convert him in all of 3-5 seconds, and it's fun because I can be all "here comes a truck...TSCHE-CHU-CHU-CHU-TSCHE...Swerve!" He is a load of giggles.

Gears was an A+ retool of Swerve, and Huffer, while not his "regular" transformation, was quite good. The legends bee was alright too and Prime was good too. And, between the Thrilling 30 and combiner wars, we have all but Soundwave represented from the season 1 cons in legends form (Megatron, Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Shockwave, Reflector, Soundwave's minions)

Party! Legends party! Sing it wi'ma y'all. Party! Legends party! C'mon, c'mom!
D-Max, one thing I love about Legends/Commander/Scout class is the can serve 2 purposes. Leaders for your Legions, and/or minis for your Deluxe and up guys. I held off on buying any 3P Bee's or Cosmosi because I knew, if I waited, Hasbro would do exactly what they did. Huffer and Cosmos are two of my favorite guys from most recent times.
And Cary nailed it. These classes are fun, because they are the most toy like. Just toys, nothin' fancy. Quick to transform, fun to battle, and you can have an army of them in the space of four deluxes.
These Notsun Bros are a bit of an oddity. Their scale is a little off in that they're the same size as most Legends when they should be smaller. I'll have to pair them up with a deluxe Prime. The Iron Factory toys are so cool looking and well made though that as a Datsun super fan boy, I can't resist.
