Golly D, I'm not sure what to tell you. If you are patient the voyagers could show up at HTS with a deal. Also, maybe you want to wait for confirmation on the silver/green issue. I'm also not sure how much Hoist will inflate in price as time passes.

I figured.

I noticed you said you didn't have any Beaks (Laser or Buzz) recently and thought, what a poor unfortunate soul. The Beaks are my favorite tapes. So I looked around thinking a loose one couldn't be that expensive right? Bah!

Laser ONLY came with Soundwave, and the legit Buzz/Frenzy are both quite pricey. And i know this isn't news, but they've been heavily KO'd. I watched some reviews, and while the Frenzy/Rumble KO's suffer a lot from paint/chrome crappiness, the Buzzsaw's are usually ok. eBay has the KO pair for $20 USD shipped all over the place.

You need one of the Beaks bro!

Yeah, it doesnt exist, too bad. And shame on Hasbro for not having their **** together by Botcon with that Bruticus reveal. I tend to believe (due to the overwhelming evidence) that a toy takes at least 2 years to plan. So when they finally reveal it, it's what you are getting. Fans didnt like the heads of Blastoff and Computron but were also saying that these were prototypes and stand ins. And I would instead tell everyone that they shouldnt get their hopes up since when Hasbro shows you something, its to let you know what the thing looks like, not an aproximation. No reason they will suddenly change what you see in in a few months before they start sending toys to warehouses.

But then we get this olive Bruticus and all my notions fly out the window. So they changed the scheme in so little time? How? Why? They can do that but not change the crappy heads that were revealed simultaneously? My arguments hold less water with this release. It's really odd that we will never get an olive Bruticus and that the change is so drastic in terms of colouring.

Unless, the guy who painted these prototypes made a mistake and Hasbro just ran with it. Aterall, their 3-d stock images did show us what we would get all along:

Which KO company has done what, I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure all the cars, and many versions of MP10 have been done with MP11 Seeker KO's coming soon.

Dunno about WJ, but I was only investigating because I wanted both. Maybe the reason for the switch was Hasbro talking to Takara. Kinda like "We'll do the toy accurate chest and you can do the toon accurate chest". If there's only one Hasbro version, I'm glad they went with grey.

It's been confirmed that the Onslaught shipping with Sky Lynx will be grey.

I would imagine its all injection molding so swapping plastic colors mid stream wouldn't be too big of a deal. Of course depending on which parts are gang molded there may be some parts that shouldn't be green. But that prototype had green wheels.

I'm in the it doesn't exist camp at this point.

As far as Taks Bruticus; I'm not feeling it at this point. Ill wait for better pics until I pass final judgement. Not that its makes a hill of beans to me.

I would take a shuttle Blast Off if given the option, but as a novelty only. I really really like jet Blast Off better. Those colors just do it for me.

I'm excited for some Sky Lynx in my life. I hope my local connection comes through for me.

Charles with RPA does some great reviews on the KO figures. Lots of comparisons, what to watch out for, etc. I like his logic too, keep the official on the shelf/in the box and buy a KO to play with. If it breaks, no big deal!

I think the only KOs I may end up with are Bluestreak, Ratbat, and an Exosuit.

And they've done every variant of the cars through Exhaust, and all of MP10s colors (including BAPE and Evangelion) as well as a Ultra Magnus deco!

Takasa Tony LOL, but even then there are Takara Tomy variants!

And let's not forget Reximus Prime! Totes worth it for that guy.

I've had all the KO Cassettes and i can say they are great. Ratbat was near perfect , R/F only issue was the guns did'nt fit on their backs tight enough , Ravage was spot on and BS only issue was some sloppy paint , other than that all were solid transforming.

I meant that who ever Takasa Tony is, I have only ever seen that name on the boxes for the cars and cassettes, but I don't know if I've ever seen the boxes for Primes and such.

Takasa Tony, Tamaka Terry , Toyota Tacoma, Tansaku Timmy, Tampon Teressa, Tanaka Tumby, Tabasco Toby... It's all the same ****. :lol:

It certainly ain't Takara Tomy

Because it is now a precedent for fans to use when saying that what Hasbro shows us can change drastically and thus get their hopes up when there is something they see they dont like that they think will be fixed by the time of release. Like Computron's head or Slingshot's head. And I am a realist who believes that when Hasbro shows you something, its what you are getting. If you dont like it, fine at least you are ready for dissapointment and can manage your expectations.

Also for me personally, I like planning my tf purchases for the yearly releases. Like If I can see the Hasbro deco, I can decide if I will preorder takara or not. I hate preordering something to realize that something changed in my options.

As far as i know Timmy Tampon only started to show up on the Bluestreak and Exaust KO before that it was Takara on the box .

Well my Fakebat just came in a ziploc bag with Styrofoam around it and some tape with Chinese text on it. He did come with a cassette box with transformers logo stamped just like the other MP cassette bots.

Thank you for this link, you just saved me perhaps 200 or more moneybacks. I want mp11 style Thundercracker and Skywarp, but for repaints I prefer KO's.

I don't really like Jack that much, though that stems from my bias against the mold. While the amount of retooling on him is impressive, he is severely underpainted. Out of all of the wave 6 stuff I have, he is the only bot that I wouldn't display on the shelf.

Or at least on his own. He'll still be part of Sky Reign, but the bot mode (the main way I display stuff) is too bland.
