Unsold on this. Feels a bit detail-less to be a CHUGs fig.

Aren't you in danger of getting kicked off the Twincast podcast for that?

Did I get the acronym wrong? I rarely use it. Classics, Henkei, Universe, Generations...it seems okay...

Must just be my opinion then. In that case, I'm in no danger.

They might be referring to the fact that the term "chug" is a highly derogatory term for Native Americans and First Nations people.

Thank you so much for that. Being Scottish, I had no idea why Americans were complaining about CHUG as an acronym. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle. Kind of like Slag and Spastic in the UK, both of which I'm ok calling my Transformers.

This Megatron is probably one head taller than Classic Prime.

Perfect, thank you so much for that picture. Now the ultimate choice for me, Botcon or Third party this year. Being a Shattered Glass fan this is like Sophie's Choice.

This is freaking sick. I don't care who you are, but if your on this site, you gota love this. I might hold off picking up somthing like this until I get all the other figures I don't have versions of yet. WFC Megs is pretty sick for now. But damn, that headsculpt is evil. :CON:

Edit: I really hope he has a tricep swivel , coz on close inspection, it might be missing. That would be a huge bummer imo.

upon size comparison with Classics Prime, and further looking at his boots...I'm definitely ok with sticking with my Henkei Megatron.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

While I'm not sure how I feel about the size, this is still probably the best looking megs I've seen thus far, regardless of series/maker. As for the sword, does anyone else kinda see the star sabre in that design? Specifically the first upward flaring bits above the hilt and to a lesser extent the bulge just above those.

This figure looks quite good but I don't think it's going to be worth the price tag that 3rd party figures all have, especially as it's a bit too tall for Classics and too short for Masterpiece.

Man, my United Megatron just came in yesterday and now I see this. I love the United Megatron, but this thing is fantastic too. The transparent sections don't really bother me, but maybe they just got the coloring for the plastic off on the prototype? If it were a really dark red it could work really well I think. Overall he is really well proportioned and the face is perfect.

I don't think the concern is so much how it looks, but rather just the fact the joint is made out of clear plastic as it tends to be more weak and fragile.

I just think CHUG sounds stupid but I'm willing to accept the slur reason just to make it go away. ;) If it goes with the Classics series or the Wings of Deception set, it'll always be Classics to me!

G1 version 2.0
G1 neuveux
Neo - G1

I'm not a fan of the acronym either, and I think often for a while it was used just to sound like you were on the collecting cutting edge, but I digress.

I like using Classic-verse. I don't know about others, but I don't treat it as a reference to just the Classics or Universe lines. The whole point of all these lines is the modern treatment of "classic" characters.

But you may be in a different collecting group than the C.H.U.Gs because that group is as I see it, looking for direct G1 homages, not just any classic character being revamped.

Just saying.

We should just call the Classics Univers or 3rd Party stuff that fits into the Classics Universe "Generation 3" or simply "G3".

#-o I completely forgot about that issue, thanks for pointing it out. Yes, that would be a good reason to be concerned with it being used in a joint area.

Generations actually sounds the best in regards to the name encompassing characters from various timelines and story arcs. It just runs the risk of omitting the actual classics line of figures.

The scale should be spot on with the Faith Leader. It looks too small for MP-09 and a little too tall for Classics Prime. That's a bummer.

"and a little too tall for Classics Prime"

I disagree, and think this is actually cartoon-accurate. Megs was (at least as far as I can remember) portrayed as being taller then OP, being the "more powerful" brother of the two, which actually makes this scale relatively cartoon accurate.

A depiction of Megs being shorter than this would actually leave me disappointed, as that would make Megs on scale with most other Decepticons and wouldnt make him seem very "leader-like" when standing among, say, the Hercules constructicons or a size-acurate Soundwave (whose toy was always toweringly tall).

I have a slightly different view on the size and how it relates to both Megatron and Optimus. I find that if they are obviously taller than pretty much all of the other Decepticons or Autobots, it makes it kinda boring in that size automatically decides who leads (sorta thing). As long as Megatron is taller than most, thats fine, and I don't care about Optimus, but the same rule loosely applies (as long as Megatron is taller than him).

I can see what you mean Mindvvipe, but I think about it in kind of an opposite manner...

They dont lead because they are taller...they are taller because they LEAD (think of the scene where Hot Rod becomes Rodimus in the movie...how he "powers up" and actually grows in size when the Matrix turns him into the next Prime).

Especially Megs, as this kind of sub-consciouisly fits his personality...towering over the other D-cons, intimidating and looking down on them in scorn LoL...if they were the same size (or egads, even shorter, in which case you would get like a "Rudy" complex) it wouldn't convey the "statuesque-ness" of the Megs and OP.
