There have been a couple of reports of QC issues with Huff, but many more saying how great he is. One guy even dropped his on some tiles and nothing happened!Stormrider wrote:I am getting my companies mixed up so please help straighten me out. Krank is produced by X-Transbots, who also made Powerglide. Their Powerglide had several QC issues, but Krank does not.
Huff is made by Cubex. And so far are the reports indicating lots of QC issues? Or, just one figure so far has issues?
william-james88 wrote:So that would also be the case for Predaking, who is also six members.

Do you mean floppy arms and legs or just weaker than normal joints ? is this a problem or easy to look past .

Autobot Genocide wrote:Hmmm... all this QC has me a little wary now i think i'll still take the chance with Huff since i won't be handling him much anyway and he's currently on ebay for £46.50 Free p&p from china , if it was full price i would have backed out.
Cheers Agamemnon

Gauntlet101010 wrote:So I completely flip-flopped on not getting this guy and got him. The mold was, apparently, lost so this is it for this thing. Mine came with two of the same fist. Didn't bode well.
I'll say the visuals for this were exactly right. I got this to go with my Classics collection consisting of official deluxes and iGea's minibots and he fits right in. In vehicle mode he's as large as Voyager Prime, which is what I wanted. You can even put Fansproject's trailer on top of him (pity there's not a proper mounting port). So, yeah, visually he's great.
But he holds together like a knockoff. His head's on a screw you can't tighten. Mine came with two opening fists (gotta pen a letter to BBTS soon). One arm is super loose. He comes with another set of closed fists which are really, REALLY tight on the vehicle mode's upper stacks. His chest constantly wants to pop off.
I knew the QC was bad, but in person it's just .... terrible. I'm not sure if Xtransbot's Glider is worse. Like Glider he has some pretty clever ideas and looks nice just standing there, but ... man! If you're desperate in need of a proper looking Huffer this'll do. If his QC wasn't riddled with problems he'd be great, but only KOs and Impossible Toy's Arcee comes close to matching the problems on mine.
I was moved by people saying that despite the QC this was a fine figure. And it certainly looks fine. But it ain't. Properly executed this could have been the final word on Huffer, MP or Classics - official or not. As it stands that's money I'd have felt better spending on Dinobots.
Yep, bumping this up purely to complain. And maybe warn some holdouts on the figure.

The only issue ive had is that one of the panels on the leg doesn't peg in as tightly as the opposite leg. The the paint on mine is fine, no chipping, flaking etc. nothing joint wise is overly tight or floppy. I got lucky
