Custom Movie Ratchet

Got a great pic of G1 Op or BW Megs? Whether it's 2-D or 3-D it's welcome as is any other form of art outside the custom figure world.

I loved my voyager Ratchet toy but after seeing how awesome he looked with some paint apps i had to have a go at it myself.

He doesnt transform. It was my first kitbash and something went wrong so he doesnt fit together properly. I was disappointed too and i want to do another one now i know what i am doing just so i can have a version that actually transforms but its a costly experiment. Finding a VW model kit for a start is a pain in the ass.

You've got to start your auction low, so it looks like a deal. Then once the bidding gets going, it will shoot up. Check out the bidding histories of closed auctions. You'll see stuff that went for a couple hundred bucks that started off at one.

Yeah but i dont want to let it go for less than 40, and knowing my luck if i start it off at a lower price it wont sell for what i want.

That's why you set a reserve. I'm not actually sure how to do it, but it's how you protect yourself.

Yes i know about the reserve thing, but i dont think you can do it with items under £100....i'll look out for it next time, i'll list it with ym custom movie ironhide as well that way things should look more appealing to people to see two items.

Oh the orange tint, yeah thats from the crappy lighting, these are old pics and out of date as i re-did some of the bits on his legs that chipped off and re-took the pics with a black background and no orange tint. It looks alot better now....well it did i sold it on ebay.

Heres what he looked like with the better lighting and fixed leg paint: (ok its still a bit orange :P I'll use this auto color thing next time if i can figure out how)

(and yes the screws are ugly but i didnt bother filling them in as i dont see them as that big of a problem really, not worth the extra hassle.)

Copied that straight from the pics of the actual movie ratchet, movie accuracy is your friend! :P

I added silver look H2 badges to his alt mode too, and black Trim along the bottom of the alt mode, and those black squares on his hood.

Im surprised you big shot pro's missed all those details... :P

Just pulling ya leg :P :P :-P

Oh and thanks, btw!
