Hot Rod robot mode + trailer.

I have the bag and coin, they're outside the main box when sent. Need to get the display case seperately.

Man, as much as I want to love this guy (especially for the price tag), this is just too tough... My problems so far:

Broke both gray shin pieces. Nothing I do will keep them on tightly. Thinking of trying the paper solution just to create more friction.
The goggle simply won't stay up. If he's standing up and I bump him, down come the goggles almost every time.
I realize there's a solution to making all four wheels touch the ground in car, but I just couldn't do it.
The back kibble and the chest are really difficult; lining up the chest with the tabs in the back is really difficult, and the gray piece that keeps the back connected is hard to snap on.

Bottom line: this toy is NOT meant to be hand candy. Get it in a pose you like and don't touch it. If you have to transform it, treat it like a Fabergé egg.

Well I got mine today and thankfully didn't fall apart out of the box. Haven't transformed him yet but I'll keep you abreast.

For frig's sake...

I requested shipment Friday morning.

The package didn't get to UPS until Tuesday night.

It's going to miss its scheduled arrival today and it won't be until next week that I'll have the package.

I'm being pissy and acting spoiled over this. I don't care. That's too much time in processing BBTS... If you're getting too many orders to handle, it's time to add some staff.

Agreed, their processing times have really slowed down over the past year or so. It's been a while back, but I had a package sit in warehouse status for nearly a week. I've had the exact same thing happen.

"Where is my order? Why is it sitting around so long?"

"Things are on schedule. Please consider our processing times when making an order."

::2 hours later the package moves to "shipped"

edit: It's absolute crap that I can get my orders from Japan to my door faster than ANY of the domestic sellers can get me my shipments.

BBTS has always been relatively quick for me. Maybe I'm just a bit more patient. Even so, I've rarely had a shipment processing for more than two days.

BTW, I've been thinking. I don't think anything can be done to repair the damage to the gray shin pieces, but I do anticipate a rather huge third party after market for replacement hands that are better capable of holding the weapons and such. Not sure what else could be done, but the hands can actually be slid out of their "cuffs," so to speak. Should be an easy swap if someone makes them sturdier.

I'm not looking forward to dealing with these QC issues later this weekend when I'm working on the figure's gallery. That is assuming I receive my package today from UPS, which may or might not happen.

I canceled around $120 in pre-orders. I don't know how else to make my voice heard on the matter. BBTS is still my #1 online retailer, but something needs to be adjusted with this processing/warehousing/shipping delay.

Considering that there was a major blizzard that hit the country this week that affected the area between BBTS and you, this seems a little rash.

The blizzard did not effect the fact that it was the 5th day (4 if you take out Sunday) after I pressed "ship" that the package was provided to UPS.

I've contacted BBTS on this kind of stuff before as stated above.

(and $120 is a drop compared to my spending over all there)

But all in all, I don't think I should have to go out of my way on this. They should be upfront about delays if they are going to have them.

No, TFsource...but I hear the ones from there are coming with the extras so I'm a bit less annoyed now. I'm not in love with the extra crap, but if it's costing me the same either way, I'd rather have it. Still hasn't shipped though...

As for BBTS, I did request my POL be shipped yesterday late afternoon and I didn't receive any shipping notice today...I believe they're done for the day so I don't anticipate it being sent out till Monday at the ealiest. Was hoping to actually receive the stuff Monday since they're less than an hour from me, but instead I'm now just hoping it gets shipped out.

Ok, I went out and had dinner and a few IPA's (yum) then picked up my MP Roddy....I refuse to attempt to transform him while even slightly intoxicated (or any of my TF's for that matter)

I am a little bummed though, the damn things visor barely stays up and the backpack refuses to stay pegged. A MP should not have issues like these that we encounter w/ the normal lines.

But man is he one slick looking Transformer!, And honestly I love the character and the MP line too much to let these issues ruin him for me.

I will make a proper assessment of him tomorrow and possibly even a youtube review :-B

Just make sure that you take every possible photo you can before transforming to Rodimus' vehicle mode. The gaps for the spoiler are very tight, and even though you can pull them open a little further with your fingers as you slide the spoiler in, you'll still get a transfer of orange paint to the spoiler.

Well, okay, I guess waiting 2 weeks for processing is pretty unreasonable... but I couldn't help chuckling that you guys are complaining about that when BBTS packages apparently take a month to get across the northern border. :lol:

Hmm, sad to hear about QC issues for MP Rodimus, but people complained about all the rest and I've been lucky. Not that I can afford to get Rodimus right now though...

I think I'll be waiting for the Hasbro version to come out, even if it isn't coming with th trailer. Does anyone have any idea when the due date is and if it's going to be a Walmart or Toys R Us exclusive?
