I'd be all over this if had been made for Darkest Megatron back when he was still relevant. I would have given anything to replace that red arm. Oh well - Prime collection is gone now. :oops:

Easy pass, No thank you. Think the replacement parts look too much like the initial parts.

Would have preferred a kit to turn this toy into 2.0 megatron from the BH movie.

That thread could definitely use some updating. I'm glad DMY is doing a Hasbro and Takara version, but not yet sure what the "black" version is. Maybe for the BBTS exclusive version that looks like Galvatron?

I do not own this add-on kit, but I've heard from others that the quality s not very good. And there are some issues with the replacement forearms.

Well someone finally done it and after some considerations I think it's a worthy kit. Not perfect but yet I've bought not so perfect upgrade sets in the past. It does have it's flaws but hey what doesn't...? For the most part it does the job and I'm getting it.

This looks pretty good, actually - I might pick a set up. I'm surprised the Black version sold out so quickly, and that the Japanese version is for the chromed Megatron, and not the Final Battle matte silver version. Oh well.

Looks like it requires some work (I mean above and beyond the swapping forearms thing) and some super glue. I'm game, I just wasn't expecting it. The hand design is just...terrible, I'm really not sure what they were thinking there, but eh.

The head and back pieces, however, are worth it. I love how it all folds compactly. (Why Hasbro didn't do the same thing is beyond me.)
