First of all, Oooooff........... OOffffff....... That was expensive for that duo. with taxes and shipping, the total was over 300 mother effing Canadian dollars... Oh the pain.... Was it worth it? Let's find out.
(Bonus sticker by ordering from GSC USA directly. Unfortunately, customs are an automatic hit when ordering from them.)
As usual, both figures comes with many accessories, notably a... handful of spare hands.
Good Smile Company rarely make transforming figures. But here, they made an original, a very sexy fembot, Cyclon. She is very beautiful with perfect proportions. Only her wheels kibble give away her transforming nature.
I never watched the Fates series and I never will. I want to keep myself sane by avoiding all those confusing timelines. The characters and doujins are sweet though. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Anyway, this Jeanne is super nice looking but is extremely fiddly to pose because things keep popping off all the time. Just that basic pose was hard to do even with the stand.
Cyclon is surprisingly small, or Jeanne is big for a Figma. Here's a comparison with a current Transformers deluxe.
Cyclon is a charm to pose and even have may diecast parts in her. Unfortunately, her tiny stand is not that useful. She is compatible with a Figma stand so it's baffling one is not included with her for the overall price. I still managed to balance her though. Her hands are easy to change like a Figma.
Once I got the hang of it, Jeanne is not too bad to pose. The hands and faces are easily changeable. I had to super glue her right foot armor piece though. Plus her kneecaps armor plates pop off too easily.
Really unfortunate that Cyclon's face have a blemish. But if I imagine that defect to be a "beauty mole", it's all right. I would have liked some spare faces with different expressions though.
Jeanne's faces are amazing and ALL of her painted details are insanely detailed and precise.
With a pair of special "double hands" and that face, she can pray.
Cyclon can do the "Kali Blades Dance" with her swords.
Jeanne come with a welding torch and she can do some maintenance on Cyclon.
Time for Cyclon to transform! Right from the start, we see some awesome sculpted details that are only visible when transforming.
Inside her thighs, there's some nice diecast metal "bones".
The transformation is pretty simple. The swords partform into the handlebars. The resulting bike is pretty damn sweet.
The bike become really tiny. That's one smol bike. Even at Figma scale.
However, that bike is 100% compatible with any and all Figma! Jeanne is a perfect fit. Too bad her neck joint is limited so she can't look straight forward when riding the bike.
One thing I like with Figma is that they know how to make a pretty seamless butt. No "turtle shell" here.
This duo will acompany:
Heavy Metal Batman,
and the G.I. Joe Classified Baroness with Cobra Coil.
....Jeanne and Cyclon will feel damn tiny compared to them!
So overall, I think the price is perfectly right for Cyclon, but I grossly overpaid for Jeanne. Overall, it's still a pretty fine set and I don't regret getting these girls.
