I've been keeping away from 3P Purchases due to the Quality Control risks and Cost. However, these are TOO COOL to pass up. I want to see a pic of these stepping on the EZ ROTF Devastator, hahaha

This might be a great alternative to CW Devastator, for those of us with neither the money or space for that monster.

I'm going back and forth on this guy. I really do want to get him, but I'm holding off until after Comic-Con to see if I can get that better paint-apped version first. If I don't, then I'll probably bite the bullet and get the preorder on BBTS.

I hope this doesn't lead to a Legends-scale Combiner arms race, because I'm really starting to wane on the whole concept.

I hope it does! I have CW Superion, but I won't be getting the others, except maybe Bruticus, simply because of size and price. And while this Devy is still up there in price, size-wise it's very good, for me at least. I would love to see more, as I would probably buy them. I like the concept of combiners, but the Hasbro figures' size makes them iffy purchases.

Price is certainly a factor, but I have never had an issue with 3P for Quality.
Do issues crop up? Sure, but when they do have an issue, fixes are sent out.

Which makes sense, given the price people are dropping on these items.

I have a lot more issue with the flimsy POS construction that makes up most of Hasbro's stuff. But then, it is a fraction of the price, so it is typically not a big deal.

Agreed on all counts! I actually like the highly detailed smaller figures better(Hybrid-Style G1 Convoy, anyone?) If for no other reason than the ability to one day create a large-scale Autobot City display...

...Or, just to display on my Desk at work; large toys don't work so well for a number of reasons. But regardless, I hope there IS a small-scale Figure/Combiner arms race! Smaller figures(highly detailed, of course) just make better collectibles for me...
