This is reference to the recent news item where a 3rd party company had copied AL's Shapeways articulated replacement hands for Leader Optimus but in ABS plastic.
The news item suggested U.F.O. are in cahoots with X-Transbots (XT-B) I think?

I've sent you a PM regarding this. I know I could've just posted here but I got a little carried away.

I dig this but am passing on this version. Hopefully they'll produce a repaint that I can justify for my collection.

For the record, whilst I do think he's quite Ultra Magnus-y, he's no replacement for the City Commander I don't have yet. Also, there's FOC Ultra Magnus whose robot mode is pretty darn great for a Classics UM anyway. If I do end up getting this guy, he's going to be a brand new character.

I think he kinda looks like Powermaster Optimus Prime in Ultra Magnus cab colours.

Yeah, for the most part, I've kinda shifted to this mode. I'll make him my own character. Right now, I'm thinking of making him an Autobot Power-Master named Seismic, and his partner's name is Rupture.

He's going on my Fansproject shelf because....well....He is not a transformer, He's a warbot made by fansproject. All of this silly" he doesn't homage any character" nonsense is just that..silly..

Unless you collect TF and TF homages and not just any transforming robot toys.

This is a pricy guy. I don't know if just being "cool" is enough for me. There are TONS of cool things coming out.

Well, don't sweat it too much, if worse comes to worse, I can always sell you mine, I'm not 100% sure I'm keeping him anyway.

Anyone have the old proto pics from the Con? wasn't it next to Hercules, I thought this was at least Voyager sized if not slightly bigger, or near Warbot 1.

Funny you should say that: having read your first post I was going to ask if you'd be interested. Unfortunately we're all in the same situation of having to wait until next week to get paid. At least if we miss out on this one we know of some potential allies for future releases.

I don't think anyone has this in their possession do they? F*ck I simply cannot buy something blindly (especially 3rd Party) without knowing the QC factor and overall review. As much as I wanna get this I'll just have to wait like I did with "Iron Army" which turned out to be awesome so hopefully this will too...'nuff said!

Ten bucks say the trailer or add-on for this guy turns him into a Nova Prime homage or something similar. If that happens, everyone's going to go nuts to get their hands on one of these.

If I were to ever get it I'd paint it into a WW Grimlock.



But since I don't spend hundreds on paint hobby fodder, I ordered a MG Blitz.

Well the design looks great... if I get it he'll be just a random cybertronian, no homages or anything... but the thing is that the shipping is too expensive for non-US residents. The first 800 will be the first batch, which means that there will be more than one batch, as there are more than 1500 fpc members. I do hope that some online retailers will have this in stock (shipping costs are way cheaper from Honk Kong to Europe compared to US shipping rates)
