Can anyone tell what the differences are? I mean, I get the clear version (though not sure why there is a clear version) but what's the difference between reissue and "T"? I think I may finally jump on this as we are only likely to get the FoC and Legends versions out of Has/Tak for the time being. (Perhaps an MP, but I'm not sure how soon...)

Completely surprised that they are going to release a clear version. I'm still haunted by the knowledge that the original clear versions were deemed too brittle and were destroyed.

It's cool that they are releasing a more toy accurate color scheme. Bummed they are not going to reissue him with the hose installed underneath the forearm as is proper.

Slightly darker than the original (for the reissue), then dark like the G1 toy? I think. Also, why can't they give us a non-translucent hand?!

"T" as in toy accurate colour, which is darker. Though I can't tell on my phone. I'll need a closer look on my compy when I get home.

FT-03T is the toy version, with a darker shade of purple.

Even on a home computer (23" screen) it's hard to see the color difference. And going back to my comment on the hose, it looks like they made a change in the design. The original version that I have doesn't have the segments that this version seems to have. So one improvement has been made.

Each of those images were snipped on the same side of the same monitor. It almost looks as though the "T" variant has a darker image overall (even the backdrop).

Seriously though. Solid color right hand (preferably silver like the thighs, keep the clear one for the G1 toy variant) and tube UNDER the arm to the backpack. Why you no fix Fans Toys?!

I tried very hard to be the first to post something, I'm glad you noticed :lol:

BBTS pointed out that it was a limited run of 500, maybe that's what was allocated to them? If it's only 500 to all retailers that is pretty limited. I personally don't see the novelty of the translucent, that goes with all of the Takara translucent releases too. I do get having something limited in production, as that influences a lot of my purchases (just not translucent stuff)!

I'm so excited. I almost paid 425$ for one 2 weeks ago! And ill get the darker purple version! They got tired of being harassed for a reissue :-)

I'm glad to see that other folks will be able to acquire this guy without having to pay a huge markup.

I do feel kinda bad for those that DID just buy him at a huge markup recently though.

An interesting exchange on the Kapow Toys facebook page. When they announced that after this reissue they are dropping Fans Toys products, someone said...

It's a shame you'll be missing out on the money - most of my recent purchases are FT, but I understand if what you make isn't worth the hassle.

this isn't meant in a sarcastic tone Peter but we won't miss the 89p per unit we make.......that's if none of the units has a fault, you get the picture

That is a crazy low profit for something that sells for so much. I wonder if that is common for most retailers.

I really doubt it, but knowing that Kapow is in the UK, they are probably hitting some serious import charges before coming in.

Anyone with both the original Quakewave and Chigurh wants to make a side by side picture for comparison. I have difficulty chosing between the original color or the darker one. Knowing what kind of purple was the original would help. Since i have Chigurh it would give me a point of reference...
