Oh man, does that mean it is shipping soon?
Also slag does look taller, but his robot head is about the same level, plus Sludge's robot torso does raise similar to Maketoys Mixmaster to give added height, not sure if he is mistransformed in some pics?

to each his own i suppose. but i liked that grimlock. the colors were perfect on the takara version, and the only gripes i had i was able to change (artek gun, and head with blue visor). that being said, i could have lived without those things.Lord Raze wrote:shajaki wrote:*what i actually said*bvzxa wrote:Well Hasbro you had the chance to give us Classics-style Dinobots and you failed.

Also, am I the only one who likes FOC Grimlock? I think he is awesome!

I liked him as-is, but am even happier now that I have the Iron Factory chest filler kit. The Classics version's bot mode disappointed me.

HasTak struck out as the FOC toy in robot mode is so ugly and weird looking. The engineering on this toy is poor.
Think the FP and AOE Dinobots both took extreme liberties in sculpting in both modes. Neither look like homage 1985 Dinobots sculpts. At best both are Neo-G-1 Classics updates.
Now if your looking for homage 3rd party Dinobots toys than the FT Dinobots have come the closets in 1985 sculpting.
Get most don't like MP TF toys here and most prefer Classics scale. But those FT Dinobots won't stick out like a sore thumb on display shelves. Due to HasTak releasing over 21 MP TF toys. Also 3rd parties have released toys like Kronos, Combiners, Quakewave, Hexatron and others that can be displayed with the FT MP Dinobots.
Sorry, I'm just not prepared to spend over $525 for Five FP Dinobots that are Neo-G-1 Updates. Rather Spend $85 for the Neo-G-1 Updates AOE Dinobots toys instead.
If I'm gonna burn 3rd party cash on Dinobots toys. Think it's pointless to Spend $525 and settle for the inferior FP Dinobots. Might as well just throw in another $200 and get the Superior FT set of Four MP Dinobots toys instead. Don't need a FT Grimlock, As the HasTak one is just fine.

From what I see even the latest release of MP-6 for TRU is inferior to it's own mold. FoC Grimlock is hollow and needed 3rd Party help to be a better figure. Classics/Henkei Grimlock was noted as built wrong.
So who is the inferior figure and maker of the figure? Hmmm...
If you look at Columpio...he sure look more like Sludge than AoE Slog or whatever Hasbro is calling him. In fact has there ever been an updated Sludge since 1984/85? No.
Now this always come down to a money thing and I understand. Well that's your business whether you want to spend money personally I don't care. The look is just right for the CHUG line which gets limited love from the very corporation that makes them. Therefore I'd rather get what I want then decide I will wait for a corporation that is more so out to make money than to try to cater to the fans. AoE is going to get more dinobots than CHUG because it's popular. The CHUG line has been out since 2006 and you got all six seekers yet you only got one Dinobot.
So if you're not prepared to spend $525 then hey more power to you but my point is we're not getting the figures to compliment the CHUG line from Hasbro.

Hastak often uses different TF toy lines to give fans their CHUG toys.
ROTF gave fans a CHUG Bludgeon toy. The SDCC G-1 Deco AOE Dinobots is HasTak's attempt at giving fans CHUG Dinobots.
Some online TF fans are calling the mass release AOE Generations Dinobots toys as the G-2 colored toy versions.
Reads like your CHUG standards are higher than others. Others care less and will accept these AOE Mass release Dinobots or SDCC G-1 Deco AOE Dinobots as their CHUG Dinobots. Just because you don't accept something does not mean it doesn't exist and HasTak didn't try to please the fans.
Also reads like you need to see the Classics-Generations words on the packages and instructions in order to consider them CHUG toys. Due to the HasTak budgets and Marketing, Sometimes HasTak feels some CHUG toys might sell better in different TF toy lines. Like HFTD Mindwipe which was clearly a CHUG toy put in a movie verse package.
bvzxa wrote: No that's where your wrong. It was said Generations would be mixed in with the AoE line when the cases ship out to the stores. The newest wave still has the "generations" logo on it. So basically it's still Generations, it's still CHUG.
bvzxa wrote: Everything you mentioned is interpretation. Bludgeon and Mindwipe are still ROTF/Movie aesthetic they were adopted as CHUG because well there was nothing else around. In fact there were two Bludgeons from 2007 and ROTF respectively as well as ROTF Whirl who still needed 3rd Party help to achieve a more updated G1 look. Hence they were still movie toys while the CHUG line was running concurrent with the movie lines as filler. Hasbro themselves made another Whirl to compliment CHUG.
Mindwipe was nice but he is not what he should be, a Headmaster. Now for the record we have two Headmasters, one a Botcon exclusive and another voyager coming out real soon. Hasbro again has stated if Brainstorm sells they might make another. Now this is what I am talking about, Hasbro will probably make one more which we don't know who it will be. We know the repaints coming out like Nightbeat and Chromedome will be official. However they are not officially Headmasters which is made and was made by none other than Hasbro. We got two 3rd party companies trying to put out a good proportioned amount of Headmasters. One is making them specifically for the CHUG line, FansProject. They pretty much committed themselves to make them as true Headmasters. Again, where's Hasbro?
