No, The TF4M Generations toys will not eventually get mixed in the assortment boxes of the upcoming newer 30th Generations toys. 30th G and TF4M G will ship in their own seperate assortments boxes, Not mixed in eventually like your implying they will.

Mindwipe was nice but he is not what he should be, a Headmaster. Now for the record we have two Headmasters, one a Botcon exclusive and another voyager coming out real soon. Hasbro again has stated if Brainstorm sells they might make another. Now this is what I am talking about, Hasbro will probably make one more which we don't know who it will be. We know the repaints coming out like Nightbeat and Chromedome will be official. However they are not officially Headmasters which is made and was made by none other than Hasbro. We got two 3rd party companies trying to put out a good proportioned amount of Headmasters. One is making them specifically for the CHUG line, FansProject. They pretty much committed themselves to make them as true Headmasters. Again, where's Hasbro?

They don't need to be Nebulan Headmasters, Targetmasters, Powermasters, Pretenders, non-combiner versions to get accepted as official updates. some fans have accepted those HasTak CHUG TF toys as the Pre-forms or the After evolved forms.

A big chunk of the newer 30th Generations 2013 to 2014 toys are not even coming from the 1980's G-1 universe. They are coming from the FOC Alternate G-1 Universe or the IDW Alternate G-1 Universe.

AoE is not Generations. You argument is moot. AoE is not Generations. You can sell me a granny smith, tell me it's a Red Delicious, in the end it's still a Granny Smith.

So I brought Target exclusive FOC Grimlock (with silverknight optimus) Looks pretty slick, the silvery gold chrome is much nicer than the yellowish green chrome on the Platinum edition version. Good placeholder Grimlock until Fansproject release theirs?

I love love love SIlver Knight Grimlock. Especially with the Arttek head and blasters.

just got mine last night (thanks to megatronus actually!) and i whole heartedly agree. that target grimlock is pretty sweet. ive got the artek head and gun for my takara grim, but im strongly contemplating getting a second set for this new grim.

but... does anyone have a way to get the red off his legs?

Paint them.

On topic, these FP Dinobots look amazing. My only beef is that they're all the same size- I don't generally care about scale (as scale in Transformers is so royally screwed anyway it's a moot point) but I always thought the Dinobots should be scaled like this:

Swoop, Slag and Snarl: Large Deluxe/Small Voyager.
Grimlock: Large Voyager/Small Ultra.
Sludge: HUGE (at least small Leader).

I know they were all the same size in the cartoon, but my inner dinosaur nerd rebels at the idea.

Regardless, these look amazing, as is to be expected of FansProject. I'll wait till I've seen more of ToyWorld's offerings though- I hear they combine....

Also, you know what FP should do? They should do a Scorn in the same neo-G1 style of these DinoNots. Scorn was awesome in the movie, and heck, he's a spinosaurus- he'd be even bigger than Sludge!

I think they might be molded in red, in which case I'm afraid there's no choice but to paint them.

If they are painted red, try using a little bit of Tamiya paint thinner. Soak a bit of cotton wool or tissue paper with it and use it to rub the paint off.

You know ... you just may be able to get that with all these companies putting out product if you mix and match.
Swoop, Slag and Snarl - Planet X's take just may be this size; I know Swoop is. Alternitively the SDCC Dinobots are this size.
Grimlock - Maybe the FoC version. It's possible Toyworld's might be this large as their take is a combiner.
Sludge - One of the 3rd party MP groups is doing oversize MP dinos. Maybe that'd fir in here.

It's kinda frustrating that FP released a convention exclusive that's shiny AND has a new partner. But I shall make due with the retail version once it's released.

True! but I'm trying to sell my Takara FOC Grimlock and the Shiny one will go with the Target Exclusive Grimlock which I like better, seems more G1 to me, (also I brought the Atrek head for it)

i got my TFcon columpio the other day, and oh man..... it is one amazing figure. i cant help but feel im gambling with a losing hand though, going the retro/chrome route, cause if they dont follow suit with the other 5 ill be a sad panda. heres some crappy iphone pics!

That's how I felt too at the con. Plus there's the question on how they'll release the other chromed Dinos. If they're all exclusives at different cons it could get dicy trying to get them all.

Gotta say, though, that the chrome makes it an EXTREMELY attractive figure.

I dunno yet. I know Planet X's grey plastic and gold goes EXTREMELY well with Takara FOC, but it *looks* like FansProject's grey will be a bit lighter. If this is the case, it might be better with retail Hasbro FoC Grimmy.

Reminder - I need to line-up my various FoC Grimmy's for a photoshoot.

Yea, I'm not sure which way I'm going just yet. I snagged the SDCC Dinobots for a semi-decent price (the prices on eBay have been leveling out at around $215-$240 shipped, which isn't much more than what you'd pay at HTS), so I have at least one set of dinos. Question is whether I think it'll be worth the $600-$700 investment to complete a new set of dinos.

Eh, that's really one derpy bot mode for Derpan. Gimmick-wise, between FP's weaponbots and Toyworld's combiners, I find myself slowly leaning towards TW's, though that's also because of the bling.
ShuraKing needs to show their individual bots/confirmation of chromework(because they already seem to have the cool transparent bits and almost Mp-esque detail going on) quick!

Drepan looks pretty neat. Very squat and a bit silly looking, but he looks like pure hand candy. Also, I love robots who turn into weapons for larger robots (except when the weaponformer is supposed to be the leader...*COUGH* Megatron *COUGH*
