what i meant to say was that what will the trailer do? i mean Magnus' trailer turns into an armor, what will Rodimus' trailer do?

From memory, i can think of 3 different transforms that they did with his trailer in the toon:

1. The most common, was that the trailer is part of him, and they showed things like the rear wheels being hidden/revealed from his shins. Most notable episodes to mind are; Call of the Primitives and The Return Of Optimus Prime (we see him transform, jump over magnus, and transform again)

2. On one occasion i can think of (Only Human) they had him transform like the '80s toy, but we never saw the trailer transform.

3. the one that made me really start to pay attention though, was in Face of Nijika, where he gets forced over a cliff edge, and the trailer section disengages, we see the full 'Hot Rod' car, he transforms, hits solid ground, transforms back into the car, and the trailer comes racing up behind him.

Basically, the trailer was and wasnt useless in the toon. you've just got pick ur preference.

excellent and Informative assessment.. I am now feeling a bit better about this upgrade armor.. in my humble opinion, I think that Optimus Prime should have the trailer, while the trailer for Rodimus should just be his armor.. like Magnus has..

it makes it look as if Optimus Prime is from an older generation, while the newer Magnus and Rodimus are from a newer group whose trailers have now evolved into armor rather then a mobile command base and weapons platform..Like at some point the Autobots figured a Mobile command base would not help on the battle field as much as individual armor for their bodies..

it makes more sense then to give rodimus a trailer simply because Prime had one, and simply because he had one in the G-1 toy..rodimus and Magnus are from a younger generation, so why not give them armor instead of a mobile command base? Ultra Magnus already has Armor.. so I think this set makes perfect sense...I think it is fine the way it is, Fans Project doesn't need to make the armor a transformable base..and armor..

The Autobots/Cybertrons are getting a lot of love in the 3rd party realm...let's see the Decepticons/Destrons get some TLC too. I've thought about this briefly before but could there be a feasible add on for Classics/Henkei Megatron?

A two part add on like the City Commander and Protector. The "alt" aspect of the add on could be a stock and barrel set of components(I can't think of anything else to enhance the ghastly Nerf gun mode of Megs). The "robot" aspect of the add on could be armour but with the wings/shell parts in the way, what could be done?

The only add-ons a Classics Megatron could have are the stock and silencer. I imagine they could be split up into mormor for the legs and arms .... possibly another large gun somewhere. Or to make his silencer more impressive.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts. Poor Decepticons. Little add ons for them.

I could see them doing a parts replacement kit for Energon Shockblast into Shockwave. Giving him better arms and whatnot.

Actually strike that. I could only see them doing that if the months ago rumored rerelease of Shockblast were to happen.

My only thought for Decepticon add-ons are new parts for G1 Devestator. Ones that give him more posability.

Maybe using that sketch Seibertron.com got a while back from Hasbro, they could make something that would make Universe Galvatron into something akin to his voyager self

On Megatron Henkei:

if they were to do an upgrade for him, I could see the extra stock and barrel.. but I could also see them figuring out how to use the body of the gun mode and turn him into super megatron..the body of the gun is added to armor that makes him look like a space ship.. when he then transforms he looks kinda like the super megatron images we saw a long time ago.. that would rock!!

How about making Galvatron's right arm able to move out from his body. I hate that it can't do that.

Well, Galvatron can already go into his walker mode. No need for add-ons to do that. Heck, it's even on the back of his Henkei "box".

Maybe an add-on to make Counterpunch actually different from Punch for that very exclucive figure? It always bugged me that Punch wore Counterpunch on his back (and vice versa) and armor would give him a different look for 'con mode. Or even a conversion kit to turn Sunstreaker into Punch / Counterpunch.

Maybe some new armor peices to turn Jetfire into a Decepticon? Hell, they can even make a more 'toon accurate backpack for that, swords where the missiles ought to go ... restyled helmet ... stuff like that. Not sure how they'd deal witht he wings. Package in stickers?

Galvatron's walker mode is a lot cooler looking in those sketches. It's fairly unstable in real life ... I can see why they wanna ignore it.

I don't support a Jetfire repaint mainly because he didn't have one when he was evil. He was still red and white, just with a 'con symbol. Plus, FP can't really do a repaint, so there's no point in adding it to a Jetfire armor wish.

No I agree with you, FP has no reason to do a decepticon colored purple Jetfire.. It would be stupid.. what I was talking about was Hasbro to do a simple purple repaint.. and yeah I know that in G-1 he only had a deception symbol..but I think that to separate the two and give us a cool new repaint for Jetfire, to repaint him as a purple and white decepticon is kinda cool... it seems that this paint scheme is widely accepted as a villains version of Jetfire..

here is a Professional Custom that was issued through a group called Alpha Team 11, it was very well done..









So I'm not saying that a purple jetfire should be done by FP, but he could be released by Hasbro, which even if he's not G-1 accurate would be awesome..

Fansproject could make a "Skyfire upgrade kit" Replacement fastpacks, a new helment, and different arm guns.

Could be cool

Honestly, I'd love to see fansproject tackle the Casseticons like rumble, and have some sort of attachment that mimics his ground pounders.. or

Upgrade parts for Grimlock!!

so his feet and his arms and such are a lot better looking proportionally..

2 releases.. one for Grimlock the other for that repaint that is a decepticon.. that would be cool.
