I believe they homage a Diaclone offshoot line called DiaBattles,

I'm not 100% sold on these guys. I think it'll depend what else is currently wanting my money about the time these guys come out.

I can sort of see Dai Atlas now. Since Deathsaurus appeared in more anime, I'm a bit more familiar with that character. The chest piece would need those huge golden crests sticking out the left and right...

I definitely saw more Dai Atlas over Deathsaurus, maybe because he's not so beastly in the beast sense... if that makes sense. 8-}

BH Darksteel + Renderform Upgrade + Reprolabels is my Deathsaurus for the time being, and it would take some doing to motivate me to replace him, especially with a non-beast inspired bot.

I like that FP is sticking to their style and not making MPs like everyone else. I might have to get the Dai Atlas.

Good point. It's just nice that FP is sticking to finishing the rest of the various lines: Lost Exo-Realm (Dinobots), Function X, Warbot. One of the frustrating things these days is that the companies seem to divert their resources into various projects at once. It's hodgepodge, but MAYBE it's because they want to beat out the market to that particular offering? In any event, FP please stay out of MP-styled toys. This past weekend has shown us that there's PLENTY you can do without touching that market.

On a similar note: MakeToys is killing it with their MP-styled offerings, and even going into the S3 realm. It's about damn time.

I think the fact that MT is doing masterpiece is probably the reason FP isn't. They seem to be closely related on a lot of things.

Agreed. I think this looks just fine. Since the only other valid option is Universe King Atlas, I'll be getting this figure.
