Y'know...I was just looking at the good Doctor's signature, which contains a pic of 4 Wreckers from one of the comics, and the IDW rendition of Roadbuster looks a bit like BM Tankor, especially in the face. I wonder if the Hasbro Roadbuster is going to be a repaint of the upcoming Tankor mold.

The leaked 2014 30th list revealed that HasTaks Roadbuster toy will be Voyager scale.

The only thing I like about this is the tiny figure that sits in the seat & transforms into a engine. I kinda wish the HasTak 30th versions has this.

Yeah, same here. We've got what looks like a finished figure, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of any ordering info!

I think the early rumored listing had Tankor rumored to be remolded into Hardhead. I may be misremembering though.

Currently with a limited release in HK/China. Mass retail will get it after CNY.

This might also be a response to HasTak's Whirl release, and the upcoming official version.

Well I'm officially pissed off. :-x

So the add-on pieces that made me fall in love with Revolver only come with two green repaints of the very same figure??? They're not even different shades of green! (And we accuse Hasbro of milking a mould.

) And if I give Revolver all the pieces then Rack and Ruin go without weapons. :BOOM:

If Hasbro are doing their own version of Roadbuster then this could be a difficult decision after all. One thing that could save this for me is if FansProject could adapt the mould so Rack and Ruin could become Rack 'n' Ruin.

I am honestly surprised that the fact a few add on pieces coming with two other figures has caused such a stink. I honestly don't even care about them and I plan on getting the Rack n Ruin figures anyway.

It's the same attitude that comes in response to "DLC Available on release date" implying that there was more made for Pruduct X, but they decided to make more money by selling it separately.

Personally, I'm fairly confident that we'll see Hasbro's Roadbuster at Toy Fair in mid-February, which should solidify my decision not to get this. If, however that Roadbuster doesn't materialize, then I'll probably get this figure.

My Rack n Ruin are better though

Ok, it looks like things have been cleared up a bit. Not following this I missed the OP being updated over on tfw

So really, the pieces are not useless to the figures that they come with.

Now for Revolver. In alt mode, we have

Which looks like a standard Roadbuster alt mode. With the additional pieces, it becomes

Looks great, and maybe some of you would say that this is what Roadbuster should look like in the first place.

But in bot mode, standard Revolver is this

With the add ons, he turns into "Ultra" mode

Which seems to be some sort of homage to the armored Dorvack Mugen Calibur by CM's

So the pieces really are ADD ONS that ENHANCE the original figure, which implies that Revolver is COMPLETE without them. They're much like what the Battle Tanker kit and Transformazing's Pandora Kit are. Granted, it would be better if these pieces would be also made available on their own and, presumably, cheaper (to be fair, we can't discount the possibility that this may actually happen). But the way these pieces are currently being made available may actually be attractive to some fans who like the play pattern, fans who see these as FREE BONUS add ons that serve as a reward for buying the mold more than once.

So can we really say that this is a dick move by FP? Some may say yes. But to me it's just an inventive way of maximizing use of the mold and giving fans reasons to buy in the face of looming competition from Hasbro.

I'm basically done with this line and don't care what FP do, but it does seem kinda like a dick move.

I remember the old instruction sheet for Warpath had Hardhead as the alternate head but I'm almost positive the last generations rumor had Hardhead coming from Tankor. I remember it bc I didn't see how it was possible.

Yeah, I could see it. They are both deluxes, so using the head mold on Tankor could work. And I think it would better than Warpath, IMO.

Hopefully we'll see something on these at the Feb Toy Show Mkall mentioned.

Yea I'm definitely not getting this until I see what HAs/Tak gives us at toy fair. and even if what they give us is horrible, I have no doubts that this will still be available maybe even with the "add on set" deal.

This mould does not work as Rack'N'Ruin IMO. I would rather MechIdeas take their Twin Twist, retool it and make their own version.
