I would have agreed with you until I got Generations Whirl in hand. If they can get Whirl so right, I will give them the chance to do the same with Roadbuster.

I just ordered Whirl, and with the successes that were Springer and Sandstorm, I too am cautiously optimistic for Hasbro's take on Roadbuster.

I'm going to wait it out.

Whirl is awesome. But for me springer was a total fail because of his huge size. Same thing for blitzwing. Im a little more tolerant with sandstorm because he isnt part of my G1 movie display. But if hasbro screws up roadbuster, youre gonna end up paying alot more to get this version on the aftermarket.

Yea, yea, we all know you're no fan of Generations Springer...

Yeah I keep him in car mode. Not sure where to display him. But my point is are you willing to pay aftermarket prices for Revolver if Hasbro chokes ?

I'm not sweating it. I have a Mugen Calibur just waiting for a repaint:

Image

Mugen calibur has very poor articulation and his hips are really loose. Hasbro will top him without much trouble. Also, the figure does not lend itself well to being repainted, whish is why to my knowledge no-one has attempted it. I ruled it out as faesible a while ago.

How much does Revolver cost? if you don't mind me asking. I don't think I've seen pre-orders from anywhere.

I was lucky enough to get in on the chimungmung orders when they received a limited stock. Mine was $115 shipped but I imagine the mass release will be a little cheaper.

If FansProject hadn't put Revolver out when they did, I was thinking about buying the EM Gokun Roadbuster. I know it doesn't transform but it looked nice enough to be a stand in IMO.

Wow, that is a hell of a nice job. Like I said, I would never attempt it, but glad to see someone doing such a great job. Not sure how long it would be before the paint comes off, particuarly on the die cast sections. One for the experts. And still, the articulation is bad...

Woah!! :BOOM:

Where did those Hulk fists come from? Looks like Recoiler and Rimjob provide more pieces than first thought. (Dammit! That makes them even more essential.) I've got to say I think this is the Roadbuster figure for me. Hasbro will really have to step up with a Classics or IDW style figure to pull me away now.

You're so friggin' lucky Doctor McGrath for having got hold of this guy already.

I agree those add-ons look terrible . I'm not the fan i thought i was of this mold or the colour pallet for this figure , the green repaints look nice and compliment the mold a lot better than RoadBuster . I'm definitely waiting to see what Hasbro gives us .

Im not a fan of the big fists. It reminds me of those oversized boxing gloves strippers fight with in the ring. But I do like this roadbuster. No pre orders yet? I imagine if hasbro somehow manages to pull a rabbit out of a hat and do a decent voyager roadbuster, the rack n ruin figures will sell quite well. That way rack n ruin will have their own unique molds instead of just being repaints of roadbuster.

Why are you hating on Hasbro? Did you not like any of the recent Generation voyagers? I think they were all Awesome! Whirl, Springer, Sandstorm, Doublerdealer, Rhinox, Blitzwing were all amazing (some more than others but they are all generally really good). Are you saying you don't like any of them or they all sub-par to you? I've heard Peaugh said on his Revolver video that people who've seen Hasbro's Roadbuster said it was amazing.. I personally can't wait to see what they show us at Toyfair.

Please, Please don't get him started on Springer :) Suffice to say, he is too lanky and out of scale with his counterparts (Wreckgar etc) And actually I agree with Rated X on this one 100%. However it is a decent figure. The Blitzwing mould is good once you have fixed the issues that Hasbro should have, so a mixed bag. Whirl is just superb, and it is Hasbro's rendition of him in particular, that make me think they will come up with a good Roadbuster also. I can't wait to see what Hasbro have come up with :michaelbay:

If you like the Warbot stuff, it's really nice. I think he scales perfectly with Defender and Assaulter as well.
My only real com plate with the aesthetics is the long legs. I don't mind it too much bc it gives the figure the height I was looking for but I would prefer more bulk. I love the look of Roadbuster in IDW's All Hail Megatron.

I agree with the consensus that the Hulk hands look silly. Love the alt mode all armored up though and I'm all for a missile pod hammer!

Sorry, FP. I really like to support you. But Hasbro's Roadbuster looks AWESOME! No repaint, that I can tell.

Maybe, maybe I might be in for the Rack and Ruin repaints. But I think there may be a better alternative eventually.

I'm leaning this way as well. There's nothing wrong with FP's Roadbuster, but Hasbro's looks just as good and will be about $50 cheaper

I'll probably get the twins and add them somewhere, probably in my Decepticon Mayhem Attack Squad.

Hasbro's voyager is $20 bucks. This is 115 shipped from China. going to be like 80 cheaper at least I say. And I think Hasbro's looks better. Better colors. Imagine Takara's shiny repaint possibilities as well. I don't see many going for FP's version anymore..
