I would have agreed with you until I got Generations Whirl in hand. If they can get Whirl so right, I will give them the chance to do the same with Roadbuster.
I just ordered Whirl, and with the successes that were Springer and Sandstorm, I too am cautiously optimistic for Hasbro's take on Roadbuster.
I'm going to wait it out.
Whirl is awesome. But for me springer was a total fail because of his huge size. Same thing for blitzwing. Im a little more tolerant with sandstorm because he isnt part of my G1 movie display. But if hasbro screws up roadbuster, youre gonna end up paying alot more to get this version on the aftermarket.
Yea, yea, we all know you're no fan of Generations Springer...
Yeah I keep him in car mode. Not sure where to display him. But my point is are you willing to pay aftermarket prices for Revolver if Hasbro chokes ?
I'm not sweating it. I have a Mugen Calibur just waiting for a repaint:

I also hope the Generations RB is top notch like Whirl & Springer bc I'll get it too, but this figure is nice.
How much does Revolver cost? if you don't mind me asking. I don't think I've seen pre-orders from anywhere.

Mugen calibur has very poor articulation and his hips are really loose. Hasbro will top him without much trouble. Also, the figure does not lend itself well to being repainted, whish is why to my knowledge no-one has attempted it. I ruled it out as faesible a while ago.

I was lucky enough to get in on the chimungmung orders when they received a limited stock. Mine was $115 shipped but I imagine the mass release will be a little cheaper.

Looks OK to me:

Rated X wrote:Im not a fan of the big fists. It reminds me of those oversized boxing gloves strippers fight with in the ring. But I do like this roadbuster. No pre orders yet? I imagine if hasbro somehow manages to pull a rabbit out of a hat and do a decent voyager roadbuster, the rack n ruin figures will sell quite well. That way rack n ruin will have their own unique molds instead of just being repaints of roadbuster.

Why are you hating on Hasbro? Did you not like any of the recent Generation voyagers? I think they were all Awesome! Whirl, Springer, Sandstorm, Doublerdealer, Rhinox, Blitzwing were all amazing (some more than others but they are all generally really good). Are you saying you don't like any of them or they all sub-par to you? I've heard Peaugh said on his Revolver video that people who've seen Hasbro's Roadbuster said it was amazing.. I personally can't wait to see what they show us at Toyfair.

Where did those Hulk fists come from? Looks like Recoiler and Rimjob provide more pieces than first thought. (Dammit! That makes them even more essential.) I've got to say I think this is the Roadbuster figure for me. Hasbro will really have to step up with a Classics or IDW style figure to pull me away now.
You're so friggin' lucky Doctor McGrath for having got hold of this guy already.

Maybe, maybe I might be in for the Rack and Ruin repaints. But I think there may be a better alternative eventually.

I'm leaning this way as well. There's nothing wrong with FP's Roadbuster, but Hasbro's looks just as good and will be about $50 cheaper

Hasbro's voyager is $20 bucks. This is 115 shipped from China. going to be like 80 cheaper at least I say. And I think Hasbro's looks better. Better colors. Imagine Takara's shiny repaint possibilities as well. I don't see many going for FP's version anymore..
