Rated X wrote:Hasbro has a better robot mode but FP has a better alt mode. Im not a big fan of the N.E.S.T. dune buggy. So I think Ill buy both versions cause thats how I roll.
Banjo-Tron wrote:Hmmm, is the Hasbro offering better or as good as FansProject? Debatable.
Is it good enough when considering the huge cost saving over FP? Damn right.

Yeah, this is probably the most truthful thought related to these figures. And Hasbro's, while not perfect, is:
1) Not a repaint
2) A very good representation of the character
3) not likely to slice open my fingers when I try to transform
Agamemnon wrote:Again, I love FP for what they have done. If Hasbro would have never produced this I would have been very happy with Revolver. But I don't want to shell out a bunch of money for two of the same thing when the cheaper one will do nicely.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.
Autobot032 wrote:I've never been a big fan of the Wreckers. I don't read the comics, so I have no emotional attachment to them. However, their toys tend to be pretty damn sweet. I will gladly buy their toys, oh yes.
Roadbuster is one of those figures. I don't need him, because I don't care about him, but I do like his toy. I was considering FP's until they pulled that "You need to buy $300.00 worth of figures to complete him" crap, and then Hasbro came along and said "Lookit our's." and it's complete, looks good and it's only $22.99...
No brainer, official won this time. If they keep doing that, I won't have a need for 3rd party.
(HINT HINT HASBRO)

I'm inclined to agree, but I don't think we'll ever see a decent combiner from Hasbro. Or anything that looks like a gun.
Anyway, what the heck am I going to do with my Mugen Calibur now? These will be worth nothing on the secondary market!

Oh absolutely. There will always be a need for 3rd party. Both Galvatron (Maniaking) and Menasor (M3/Intimidator) are proof of that.
william-james88 wrote:So that would also be the case for Predaking, who is also six members.

Revolver is too blocky and I don't like the alt mode very much. Someone's Logo comment is dead on!
Hasbro's version is pretty spindly and the wheels on the limbs are just lazy, but I do like his alt mode.
Both are OK takes on the character, but neither hits it out of the park for me.
However, the price factor wins this round, hands down.
Winner of my $$$: Hasbro
not to mention we should be able to find this at retail in the next 6 months as opposed to worrying about shipping - Un-huh -mooncake623 wrote:Hasbro's voyager is $20 bucks. This is 115 shipped from China. going to be like 80 cheaper at least I say.
