I don't think you should "settle" for Kronos. It's almost like the Apollyon situation with any of the other MP Megatron options, but at least Apollyon fully looks the part and is mostly transformable vs the issues I've heard of with Kronos :lol:

Given that this is 3rd party and the standards required demanded among the bellyachers are fluid makes me wonder why all the praise when this figure is so plain/simple and anime accurate?

Anime accurate based on 3rd party standards that is! Barely a panel line or detail aside from those we saw in the marvel/Sunbow show.

Nope! Not dissing on this because I actually own this piece of 3rd party engineering marvel! Sometimes, it's simplicity that makes a beautiful a product!

Yet we get 1st party very unwarranted criticism (cough...........WJ, Shockwave (yup, the colors again), the Fuso brothers) on how "simple" the MP line has headed by adapting the Dery style of rendering.

Well look at where it got K/Cronus (remember that disaster?) of which I was an early supporter of wishing it would be da ONE. It had lot's of bling (compare that too the plain surface of Phoenix) but forgot to make it durable/transformable and simply, well enjoyable to play with.

Now, if Takara would also dip their mitts into the Jetfire bandwagon and design their own and top this....I'd be getting myself another one!

So keep it simple folks! And be consistent with your criticism too 8-}

Hoooooollllyyyyy crap.
He is big. He is heavy. In jet mode, I'd have whooshed him around the house, but I'd have to start lifting weights :lol:

Robot mode cannot be beat. He is the spitting image of his cartoon counterpart. His plastic quality is outstanding. Simply put, solid AF. So solid in fact, during transformation I almost broke a (rather thick) tab, but it bent rather than snapped. There's nothing brittle about him.

He isn't perfect though. His legs aren't as possible as I thought. And he's not very smooth in jet mode. The jet seems to lack a certain amount of refinement. But honestly, these complaints feel nit-picky. He is still really satisfying.

As for that back tab, just follow the instructions in reversed. As for the so called fix, filling it down will further weaken it so don't go that route!

Simple physics...less mass + more stress= early breakage! Anyone encouraging must first own the item and actually applied this fix FIRST as I saw that piece in another board. Not recommending it :roll:
